House Rules

Rule #1 - Don't be an entitled jerk with unrealistic hotel chain expectations. I strive to provide a clean, top notch, unique, and quirky Airbnb experience but this is not a professionally run hotel with a multi-million dollar corporation funding it. I do everything in my physical and financial power to make this an awesome experience. This airbnb helps me pay for my house and gives me the financial stability I need to run another local small business. This is also MY home. I live here. So IT IS PERSONAL. So please DO NOT BE A JERK.

Rule # 2 - Read the House Manual. It will walk you through check-in to check-out.

Rule # 3 - Do not leave the door unlocked upon leaving for any reason. You can still turn the knob from inside when the door is locked so there is no reason to unlock the door during your stay.

Rule #4 - You will be provided a minimum of one towel and wash rag for each person staying. This is NOT a single use towel environment. I provide hooks for hanging towels up to dry after use.

Rule #5 - NO Glitter!

Rule #6 - Pet's are allowed on a case by case basis. I do not breed discriminate. Case by case for me means length of stay and if I have a large enough window between bookings to clean up dog hair. The dogs must be house trained. No puppies sorry.

Rule #7 - Keep the loud sex to a minimum. Do what you want in the loft but turn music on or something please. I live downstairs and I have sound proofed things as much as I can. It is very rare I hear anything on a normal day but yea....don't share a screaming play by play of what's going on........please........

Rule #8 - The loft's toilet is designed ONLY for human and paper waste. No feminine products.....PERIOD (ha)

Rule #9 - All space heaters, hair straighteners, curling irons must be off before leaving at any point during the stay. It would suck if my house burned down.

Rule #10 - If something goes wrong message or call me as soon as possible. I want your stay to be a five star! So let me know when something goes wrong within the time frame of your stay and not in a review two or three days/weeks later. That falls in the category of breaking Rule #1. Please allow me 30 mins to an hour to respond to any issues. Sometimes things can be fixed super quick others you will need to be patient. I work 4 different jobs so I usually can't drop everything. I also don't have a handyman sitting downstairs just in case something goes wrong. So please allow me time to fix an issue and don't be a jerk if something breaks.

Rule#11 - No Parties. There is a max of 3 people allowed to stay over night upstairs that is only IF you have paid the additional $30.00 for the third guest. All other visitors must be out of the loft by 10PM. There is an additional $30.00 charge for every guest after the second. So please do not let me catch 5 people up there having a party at 2AM on a weekday (true story). I will charge you $30.00 for each guest not on the booking and I will not be nice when I break up the party.

Rule #12 Must Love Dogs. I have three pups downstairs. People with intense fears of dogs are better staying elsewhere. You may hear them bark on occasion. You will not have to interact with them but you will hear them. So if your fear includes a fear of dog sounds please stay elsewhere.

We had a great trip to Nashville, and Rachel has this whole thing down to a science. There's coffee, cereals, A/C, even little things like Q-tips and advil in the bathroom. The separate entrance is very convenient and although we didn't see to much to do in the immediate area, it was a 15-20 minute drive to East Nashville and downtown, which we enjoyed a lot! She has a list of suggested areas and restaurants to visit, which was also very helpful.

Really great place - accurate to photos and description, easy check in and communication. Great area to head back to every night after exploring the city - very quiet and safe :)

This is a tremendous value and a very comfortable place to stay. It was extremely accessible, safe, and cozy. Fast internet and quiet neighborhood. Couldn't have been better for a two night stay in Nashville.

We had a lovely time staying at Rachel's place. She anticipated our every need and gave helpful recommendations for things to do in Nashville. I highly recommend her place.

This is a great little loft, well located for you to do all the fun things Nashville has to offer while also letting you have some quiet time away from it all. Rachel is incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond when a huge flying insect got in the loft. (What can I say? I'm phobic. But Rachel not only got the bug outside again but also didn't laugh at the phone message where I was pathetically terrified.) Very comfy bed and off-street parking. Definitely recommended!

My fiancee and I had a great 3-night stay at Rachel's Place! It's a wonderfully designed space that was a welcome sight after some fun in Nashville. Loved the fact that we were in a quiet neighborhood away from the city noise, but still close enough to get downtown quickly. All the little details like the cereal bar, free movie, bottled water, toiletries, etc. were great touches that went above and beyond most AirBnB hosts. Thanks Again!

Rachel User ProfileRachel is a superhost.

I am interior designer but also run The Soda Parlor here is Nashville with my fiancé. We have three pups downstairs. Kreacher a Jack-russel/beagle mix, Tardis a pit/boxer mix and Ripley a Dalmatian/Great Dane mix along with our two cats Remus and Starscream.
Our best friend Jake lives in the basement with his fox hybrid dog September.

Surprisingly the house is usually pretty chill and there is harmony amongst the pack.

My fiancé lives in both Nashville and LA but mostly LA right now.

I bought this home with the purpose of renting out the upstairs loft so the house could help pay for itself. All bookings go towards paying my bills so I can focus on running our business and making ends meet.
