This luxurious ground floor 63m2 studio used to be for 20 years part of the family business offices (working apparel). The 100-year old ceilings have been partially restored, giving an unparalleled vintage atmosphere. The romantic backyard can be used for breakfast, sunbathing or dinner. If not available please try other Under the Acropolis apartments in the same building: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/17135724, https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/18752674 and https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/18753757

The space

Classy ground floor 63m2 apartment, part of a "gem" neoclassical building. With ample space and open bathtub, right in the centre of Athens, where the Keramikos and Psirri neighbourhoods meet.

Guest access

The guests can enjoy the full 63m2 of this property, in one studio, with the open bathroom, the separate wc and the kitchenette - and of course they have the sole use of the backyard. There is a sofa for a third person.

Interaction with guests

Maria works every morning in the next building and Prokopis lives at the 2nd floor, both ready to assist you with anything you need.

Other things to note

Please note that the building needs extreme care, as it is declared a "museum", by the Greek ministry of Culture.

What a great place. Huuuge for two people and a kitchen and cooking utensils. Very close to some fun restaurants and walking distance to basically everything. We checked in very late and Prokopis was accommodating.

This AirBnB is one that should not be overlooked! I have so many wonderful things to say but I will break it into a couple catagories to organize my thoughts, the apartment & amenities, location, and host. The apartment itself is stunning! Upon arrival there is a black gate with a sunny courtyard that leads to your room. This is a great place to have a morning cup of coffee, read a book, or simply just enjoy the sun. Both the courtyard gate and your room have a lock with a key that is provided to you by Prokopis, very secure, I felt safe as a solo female traveler sleeping and leaving my belongings here. The bed is comfortable and the air conditioning combined with dark curtains allow for a very good nights rest after a long day exploring. The ceiling artwork and tiling in the bathroom are gorgeous giving it a very posh feel. There is a kitchen with working appliances and a mini fridge large enough to store your things. The bathroom is clean and well maintained. The living room has a large couch and a stereo system perfect for inviting fellow travelors into your apartment or a small family. The location is very close to all the touristy areas, The Acropolis, Monastiraki Flea Market, Plakka, Thissio, and Gazi nightlife. No more than a 20 minute walk in a given direction takes you to these locations. The neighbood that the apartment is located in, Psirri, seems very local. You get the tourist areas within walking distance while maintaining a very distinct and traditional athenian feel. There is a significant amount of graffiti on the walls in Psirri but do not let this fool you! At first I was concerned about the saftey at night walking alone but very quickly realized that there is no concern necessary. Lastly, Prokopis and Maria are amazing hosts. Upon arrival he gave me many suggestions about where to get the best meal, nightlife and coffee. There was even a bottle of wine waiting for me! Prokopis answered any questions I had about the package I was recieving, requests, was quick to respond when I accidentally locked myself out and was just a text message away at all times! We sat for coffee and chatted at one point, he is wonderful company; both him and his mother are incredible hosts and want you to have the best Athens experience possible. Do not hesitate to book this location in Athens! I gaurantee you will be happy that you did. Thank you so much Prokopis & Maria! Cece

We had a fantastic stay in the apartment. It is spacious, clean and is very well situated (5 minutes walk to Plaka; 20 minutes walk to the Acropolis). Prokopis has been a terrific host: most helpful and very kind.

This is beautiful and tasteful, authentic heritage Grecian apartment, well loved and maintained by a lovely family. It's the perfect location in relation to the Acropolis and Agora, in a more authentic neighbourhood than touristy Plaka. Prokopis was our perfect host, he provided a great welcome to Greece and great recommendations for our visit. We highly recommend staying here.

Prokopis was wonderful with communication and very helpful with questions navigating the city. The place is near the main metro stop, yet tucked in a quiet nook so you could get some rest. We had a great stay exploring Athens!
