My husband and I are both in our late 30's. We are joyfully childfree (we like children we just don't want them). A couple of years ago we bought our dream home. It's a gorgeous 1924 craftsman, and we absolutely love it. But honestly it's way more house than just the two of us need. Until a couple of weeks ago we had a room we called the 'empty room', because... well, it was empty. That has since been remedied and the room now contains a futon with a new mattress.
We're just a really chill couple who enjoys meeting new people. After some friends having great success with airbnbing their extra rooms, we figured it sounded like it was worth a shot. We're pretty much okay with whatever sort of interaction our guests are cool with. You wanna hang out and chat? We're down to hang out and chat if we're home. You want to walk in the door and pretend we don't exist. Fine, it's a bit rude, but to each their own.
We love camping, hiking and general exploring. We have BLM maps of most of the area and love taking random forest service roads to see where they take us. We have two dogs, three cats and 5 chickens. Eventually, we'll have a small farm somewhere outside of town.
