No. 45 is a restored village house set in the mountains above the Mediterranean in the province of Alicante. What ever you are looking for, be it walking, cycling, hiking, chatting or just dozing in the sun, No. 45 is the place to be. Not many realise that just 30 minutes' drive from the glittering coast of the Costa Blanca is a tranquil world of mountain trails, wild flowers and spectacular scenery....but keep it quiet..we really don't want to spoil it! It's rare to see another soul...
My home has been completely modernised but it retains many traditional Spanish features. It offers down to earth luxury. The price includes a plentiful, seasonally inspired breakfast. The house has three double bedrooms, all of which are ensuite. It is a bed and breakfast but with the additional use of the fully equipped kitchen if you want to make your own packed lunches. There are a number of private terraces to catch the sun and a pool to cool down before heading to a bar for tapas and a chance to soak up the local village life. To the rear of the property is an almond grove and the pink blossom in Spring makes for a particularly beautiful back drop. To the front, the terracotta roofs and the views to the mountains peeping over the top complete this stunning location.
During the spring and summer months the guests may take a dip in our private pool and soak up the sun then head indoors where it stays comfortably cool. The village swimming pool with views of the Bernia mountain range is just 3 minutes walk from no.45. The village pool is only open during July and August.
My favourite space in the winter is the sitting room where the log burner creates a marvelous, snuggley haven. I love listening to the many interesting conversations over a glass or two of wine. The dining areas and the outside terraces, garden and pool are all for guests' enjoyment.
Interaction with guests
I live in a self contained flat on the top floor and will happily be on hand during your stay to offer any help and advice about the surrounding area.
Other things to note
Regrettably, the house is not wheelchair accessible and is also not suitable for young children.
There is no smoking in the house but ashtrays can be provided for smoking outside on the terraces.
