You'll have a great time at this comfortable farm cottage. Situated on a working arable and sheep farm, Just 11kms(10mins) from Lumsden. The area is surrounded by lovely views of hills, farmland & the Eyre mountains. Centrally located in Northern Southland, it is a scenic 1hr drive to Queenstown, 45mins drive to Te Anau, 45mins to Gore. Enjoy the outdoors by exploring some of the best trout fishing rivers and lakes , the ‘Around the Mountains’ cycle trail.
& 2km to the Aotearoa cycle . trail.

The space
Enjoy the countryside at Castlemaine cottage. It is self-contained, 3 bedroom home with full kitchen amenities. A BBQ is available upon request. The master bedroom has a queen bed, second bedroom has two single beds, third bedroom has a single bed. The cottage is warm and comfortable, with two heat pumps and a log burner. The bathroom contains a shower, with a separate toilet. The laundry has a washing machine and clothes dryer.

Entry to Castlemaine Cottage is with a key box, which the code will be sent to you prior to arriving . Please make yourself at home at Castlemaine cottage. We will come over and meet you and help you settle in if you would like. Our farm homestead is nearby so we are not too far away if needing help with anything. We are happy to help you with any extra plans in the area during your stay . We ask that you respect this is a working farm and that you clearly communicate with us if you want to go outside of the cottage grounds.

Castlemaine garden is available for garden tours by appointment.
