1. There is a 14.975% Quebec (GST/QST) sales tax which is payable prior to checkout and is not part of the airbnb sum.

2. Check-in is 5 pm local time. If the unit is ready earlier, we'll let you know. Check-out is normally 10 am local time, but we'd be happy to extend it as long as we don't have a cleaning scheduled. Just let us know.

3. Please kindly remove your shoes after entering the apartment and leave them on the shoe rack provided.

4. All our units are smoke free, so please NO smoking inside.

5. Unfortunately we don't allow pets in any of our apartments.

6. Please no parties or excessive noise. Of course pre-drinks with your pals are welcome, but if you intend on inviting more people to the apartment in addition to the guests on the reservation please let us know in advance.

7. The cleaning fee covers the cost of cleaning a place that has been lived in, but not trashed. Please wash any dishes you may have used and tidy up the garbage before leaving. If we find the place very messy, we have to charge an extra $40 for every extra hour of cleaning required.

8. Guests take full responsibility for any accidents, injuries or illness that occur while on the premises or its facilities. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all Guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises. Guests recognize that they may personally purchase insurance to protect themselves in such events. You may be asked to present a copy of the credit card that was used to make the booking at check in.

9. Guests are not allowed to sleep more than the maximum quantity a unit sleeps. If there are more people who sleep at the unit than what the guest original stated, the security deposit will be kept.

10. Let us know if you notice anything which presents a danger from which could result damage to the Unit or to any individuals.

11. If Guests delay the cleaners from beginning their cleaning at the pre-determined check-out time, the Guests will be charged $50. This fee is applied to any late check-out between 10 am and 12pm. Any guest who is still in the unit after 12pm will be charged an extra night. This does not apply if the Guest has made prior arrangements with Amy.

12. When you reserve one of our units, you are agreeing to all of the above House Rules.

We actually didn't end up staying at our original accommodation (this one that is listed) as an hour prior to check-in after flying from Calgary to Montreal, I was sent a one line email stating that Amy was no longer able to list me at the place that I had already chosen and paid for. No explanation, she simply told me that I couldn't stay there anymore. She asked if she could switch me to another suite in the same building (the Western apartment) which looked alright in the images and seemed similar to the one that I had originally booked, so we agreed, especially since we were meant to check in within the hour and really needed a place to stay. Check-in was a little frustrating as we were unable to reach the host to get into the building and had to wait until someone else who lived at the apartment opened the door so that we could get in. We were promised two apartment keys and only given one which isn't a big deal but was something that we could have really utilized. Upon entry, the suite didn't look too similar to the images. The couch--although tiny, which again isn't a big issue--was stained and ripped up all along one edge. The kitchen was super dated which usually isn't a problem, but it was old and dirty. The cupboards were super dirty and grimy, and the oven was so dirty it was unusable. There were spider webs all along the edge of the ceilings and the windows/sills were so dirty and gross. The tap does not run anything colder than lukewarm, and the fridge doesn't not cool anything colder than room temperature. In the listing it states that there is cable, netflix, and complimentary coffee, which proved to be untrue as the cable didn't work, the netflix wasn't usable/logged in, and there was one k-cup hidden in one of the cupboards. Again, not huuuuge things, but something that should either not be listed as amenities, or should actually be available throughout the stay. The bathroom was also a pretty big let down. The walls were dirty and peeling, there was mould all over the grout in the shower and where the bathtub meets the floor, as well as black shower mould on the shower curtain. There was also an old used bar of soap left in the shower which just seems like bad hospitality. One last super frustrating part of our stay was that when I emailed Amy to let her know that we were having an issue with the shower, she texted me back a phone number and told me to call a handyman myself to fix the issue. The positives: -The beds were alright and the linens were clean. -The location also can't be beat as it's so close to a lot of great shops and restaurants. -The wifi worked. I just feel that if you're hosting a place to stay that it should at least...

Like some other guests who have reviewed Amy's place we experienced a last minute change to our accommodation. Amy contacted us the day before we were due to check in to say that there were water problems at the apartment we had booked and asked if we'd be happy to move to a different apartment owned by her property manager. She very helpfully ensured that the price stayed the same and gave us the details of the property manager. However, it was frustrating that we then had to frantically contact him whilst on the train to Montreal and a little odd that he was not the host listed on the property's airbnb page so he was a helpful but anonymous figure who we never actually met. The apartment we ended up staying in was in a great location and incredibly spacious. Our queries were answered promptly by the property manager and he sent someone to fix the wifi when we asked. Ultimately, our stay was good but the last minute changes were stressful and we did not actually stay in Amy's apartment.

We didn't even get a chance to stay at Amy's place as she informed us the night before we arrived that there where "plumbing issues." I find it very hard to believe that there were plumbing issues that managed to happen at 6pm on a Saturday night. She did offer us one of her other units but we did not like the layout and when I asked if we could take it for the one night until she got the plumbing fixed she said she can't switch reservations and we would have to stay at the new place for our entire stay. If you are anything like me and it takes you a lot of time to decide where you're going to stay then Amy is not the person to book with. The other unit that she offered to us also had comments stating that she's moved people from there due to Plumbing issues as well but didn't inform them either until the night before or the day of arrival. This seems to be a pattern with her. Even with booking Amy's Place 3 months in advance it didn't work out for us so I would just say beware of what may happen.

Overall very centralised location..but host was not reachable but I needed her most for directions and to get access to building .Left her voicemail and few.messages but she responded after 8 hours .I had to ask strangers to gain access to get inside building .Would not recommend this host .I paid $ 900 for 1 night and she was aware we are on our way but all of sudden stopped communicating

A good value overall given the price and the fact that the 2 bedroom unit is able to accommodate 8 people in total (4 in the bunk bed), assuming the group is okay with sharing one bath room. The unit is consistent with the photos but below our expectation given its location inside an old apartment complex and the unit's overall condition. The pricing was reasonable, the view was good, the unit is well located and paid parking provided by the adjacent hotel was adequate, however, the plank flooring has many gaps, many bathroom tiles were cracked, there was excessive caulking around the bathroom fixtures, the bath tub was starting to bulge with water penetrating below, and window sills were dirty. The kitchen was small but functional. The living space was too dark given the lack of ceiling light. The internet speed seemed adequate. The A/C units inside each room were functional, however, they preclude the curtain from shutting completely as that would block the A/C vents.

A great place close to shopping and downtown. Check in was a bit confusing but other than that the place served us well. Beds are very very comfortable. Aircondktioning and black out curtains are a nice touch. There were no washcloths left out so it might be useful to bring some, also the kitchen is not well outfitted for cooking/ eating your own food; if your planning to do this you may want to bring your own supplies, napkins, cutlery etc. Coffee was excellent in the condo.
