About this listing
The Airbnb is close to public transport, BWI airport, downtown Silver Spring, nightlife, and family-friendly activities. You’ll love our place for its coziness and location. Good for couples, families w/ small children, solo adventurers, UMD students, interns and business travelers.
The basement is newly renovated with a full bath, washer & dryer, fully furnished; private entrance and a screened-in patio (when available) to lounge and enjoy the night.
The space is furnished, setup and ready to go i.e. TV, futon sofa, desk, etc. closet space, dining table and chairs, toddler bed and mattress.
The full kitchen upstairs is available for your use. We love cooking and as this is a shared space, please just let us know in advance if you plan to cook and we will plan accordingly. The patio is also a shared space (may be children's toys about) so again we'd appreciate advance notice so we can accommodate you and tidy up the area for your enjoyment- such as setting up he projector and screen to Netflix and chill.

My husband and I live in a humble home with our two children and my fluffy baby Leo Alfred. We love traveling and both have had wonderful experiences with Airbnb. Right now we can't travel as much as we are both working professionals in DC so we decided to host! We recently remodeled our basement and feel that it is a perfect private getaway outside of the city. We hope it builds character as guests bring it to life!
Food, outdoors, running, music and the arts, reading, traveling, yoga, and family and friends getting together are my favorite things to do. If I find time working on the garden and yard is my zen.
Our family is a wonderful mix of Lebanese, Italian, Salvadorean and Venezuelan roots.
I have traveled to many countries:
When I travel I like to be deeply immersed in the local community, culture, food. I like living as a local. In my travels I have stayed with family or friends, or AirBnb, boutique hotels and hostels. I have never done an all inclusive resort/cruise trip -- feel too commercial for my taste. I prefer an adventure into the unknown and meeting the beautiful people that cross my path.
My favorite book of all time - The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho
"When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it." -- The Alchemist
"There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure." -- The Alchemist
“One day you will ask me which is more important? My life or yours? I will say mine and you will walk away not knowing that you are my life.” -- Khalil Gibran
“It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live.” --Dumbledore in Harry Potter
