Jakir is a pleasant and friendly guy who did make me feel welcome and his communication was great. The check in was fine and the location of his place is fantastic and the tiny apartment is quiet. The place is old and basic but fine for a few days.

My boyfriend and I decided to stay at Jakir's apartment for our 5 day trip to Paris. We never met Jakir, but we were welcomed by his father who runs a shop right below. Jakir's father was very kind - he helped carry my bags upstairs and gave us all the important information we would need. We also went to the restaurant, Camille, that was suggested and it was great. Unfortunately, however, we were indeed underwhelmed upon entering the apartment; it was much older than depicted in the photos (i.e., the wooden staircase leading into the unit was old and unstable, the apartment itself is on a slant and therefore the bed is also slanted, and the glasses/utensils in the kitchen were not cleaned very well). In addition, the bathroom was lacking hand soap. It also gets really humid in the apartment; Jakir was not able to provide a fan but he told us to open the window which definitely helped - the only problem with that are mosquitoes! I would suggest purchasing an anti mosquito plug-in as we did to avoid getting bitten overnight :) Other than that, I think our biggest critique would be the Internet - it was reeeaaaaally patchy and unstable; virtually impossible to obtain a reliable connection which was extremely disappointing as it is essential that travellers can stay connected!! A tip that Jakir gave us was to restart the box which helped but for only a few minutes before we would lose connection all over again - we ended up staying at the Starbucks nearby to access the Internet instead. Aside from the cons, we were happy that the hot water in the bathroom worked perfectly fine, a mini fridge was provided which was very helpful to keep our food and drinks cold, and not the mention that the location is prime! Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place to others unless they are on a budget looking for a central location and wifi is not as important. A tip to the host would be to upload photos of the apartment that conveys the actual environment (more old than cozy) so that future travellers will see what they expect and won't be as underwhelmed!

Jakir communicated very well, and resolved the internet issues we had. The apartment could have some improvements like the bed (not comfortable), sheets and tableware (forks, knifes and spoons). The location is great, overall it´s about the location.

we stayed at Yakir home for 4 nights and 5 days, from 27 to 31 October. the house is small and suitable for up to two people. the bathroom is small but worked well, the same goes for the kitchen, just missing a small table with two chairs for dining. we ate by sitting on the bed and using the pink table :). the bedroom is right for a couple, we were very well at night. the stairs to the house are quite narrow and steep, and the bathroom is missing a window. The location is excellent, in the heart of the city and packed with all kinds local. It is served by two metro stations and two bus stops. there are always people from morning to night and is perfect for a romantic holiday. Jakir is a delightful and discreet person, very punctual and not put us in a hurry for the ceck out. I recommend it to all couples and singles
