The apartment is soacious and very cosy. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds comfortable. No problems at all with the check in and communication. Alexander was very helpful and friendly. Loved it!

This place was really amazing. Every detail was taken care of, not just the obvious like sheets and towers, But also chargers, music, lights. The landlord provided us with a great deal of information about the neighbourhood, where to shop and eat and many other interesting points. Even a number of city guides were available for us to use. The house feels warm and welcoming. There is no tv but we didn't miss it for a moment. The beds were a bit hard, but that is just a matter of taste. Also communications upfront about the house, when we arrived, how to get the key, it was all perfect. We recommend this house very much!

I stayed here for a week with my mom and it was one of my best experiences ever with Airbnb. Alex is a very thoughtful and organized host—the place was spotless when we arrived, the recommendations he provided were helpful, and he even left us champagne and flowers. Our flight was very delayed getting in and he went the extra mile to meet us with the keys at the airport. The photos do not do this apartment justice, it is lovely. Amazing light, high ceilings, newly renovated kitchen and bathroom, comfy beds, nice little balcony with flower beds. I really recommend the location as well—very convenient to get everywhere in Berlin via public transit, but removed enough that it felt quiet and homey. I hope to be back again soon!

My sis and I spent 8 nights in Alexander's beautiful home. The building has a well-running glass elevator, and is on a quiet residential street across from a small neighborhood playground. Alex's unit is on the 2nd floor of the building and is all on 1 level, no stairs whatsoever. The entire place has been remodeled, with spacious rooms, comfy furnishings, lovely wood floors, and plenty of large windows, contributing to a light and airy feeling throughout. It also has a sweet balcony framed with colorful potted flowers, and it's big enough for a small table and 3 chairs. The balcony area has a birdhouse and hanging feeders, which led to many delightful visits from the chirping birds. We used this balcony whenever we were home: to have morning coffee, plan the day's activities, lunch, you name it. The home has a European-style modern kitchen with every gadget imaginable, plenty of good-quality glasses, dishes, upscale cookware, nice-size refrigerator and freezer, dishwasher, high-speed cooktop, spices, napkins, paper towels, phone rechargers, and great lighting. Alexander generously offered us any food that was in the home, and said to help ourselves to his wine and liquor, if we wished. He even left his reading glasses for me to use! He has a stereo system with speakers in most rooms (if not all), and he has many books and CDs for anyone to use. Alexander also keeps an extensive supply of travel information, including maps, books, brochures, guides, dictionaries, etc., that he leaves for us travelers to borrow. His home is super clean, uncluttered, decorated and with great travel photographs he has taken on his world trips. The place has two updated bathrooms with showers, along with a washing machine. He supplies everything you could need, including house slippers, umbrellas, lots of toilet paper, as well as things you might have forgotten to pack (toothbrush, lotions, toothpaste). He put fresh tulips in the house and left chocolate candy on our beds. He leaves travel clocks in both bedrooms and has installed good reading lights. He is a generous and thoughtful host who takes pride in his beautiful home. Alexander kept in great communication with my sis and I prior to our arriving in Berlin, and he voluntarily met us at the train station the evening we arrived, carried our bags, escorted us on the rail system to his home's stop, helped us purchase bus passes, pointed out nearby grocery stores, bakeries, places to walk, where to catch trams/buses, then spent about an hour in his home showing us the features of the place and explaining how things work, and just generally leaving us in really good hands. He said to not hesitate to call him with any questions or needs, and he was true to his word. This was our favorite place to stay of all the cities we visited in Germany, and sometimes it was hard to motivate ourselves to leave the home each day to explore the city because we liked being...

There is nothing to complain about the apartment itself, it is very bright, with great lighting and all new equipment. However, we had to undergo a lot of scrutiny about our age, occupations and nationalities that from the beginning felt invasive and affected us in a negative way throughout our stay.

Response from Alexander:
I don't understand the second part of Han-Sams review. Her first information concerning age was not correct and because of that I wanted to make sure that I won't have four students partying in my apartment. I did not ask in detail for their occupations but indeed I asked for names and nationalities of her companions, something I always do. In hotels we even have to show our passports, no?

Alexander's apartment was very nice, bright, welcoming and spacious. It contained everything we needed, including a very useful guide to the local area (Prenzlauerberg, and Berlin). The location is excellent: a quiet environment, many small shops and cafes and easy public transport to the center of Berlin. One of the most charming areas in Berlin. Communication with Alexander was easy (even in Danish). A very positive experience.
