First of all, the room was spacious and clean and the location is good, not too far from the beach and the old town. That's the only positive thing I can say about our stay in Asuns apartment. We really felt uncomfortable. When we arrived, nobody was home, we had to pick up the key in a bar. There wasn't even a welcome note for us so we had to guess which room was for us. We went out for dinner and when we came home Asun was home. She didn't say a word, didn't even introduce herself. Very very strange. The next morning we discovered that she had two little children who had to shut up and hide themselves when we were in the house. This is not mentioned in the description of herself. Asun herself didn't say a word. She ignored our presence. We had to ask for breakfast, which was mentioned at the site. The breakfast consisted of dry toast, tea and some fruits. No coffee in sight. What a pity.
For the rest of our stay, we didn't see Asun in the house. Once we saw her in the street, and she saw us but she completely ignored us. The second day we discovered another girl in the apartment who rented a room. Very very bizarre. This girl, who was very nice, didn't know about us, and we didn' t know about her renting a room in the apartment.
Although we liked San Sebastian a lot, it is an absolute shame this apartment is on Air bnb. We have read other reviews but we can't imagine the person described in these reviews is the same as Asun.
Again, maybe Asun is a nice person but she made us feel completely uncomfortable. And she is not communicative.
We recommend NOT to go to this apartment!
