Sara was extremely attentive to our needs-she had a lovely friend let us in and we felt really comfortable. End unit and very private. Cozy and warm for sure. Would recommend to everyone.Coffee shop is right across the street-local cafe that is amazing. All the best Asian restaurants (still dreaming about the truffle dumplings) are nearby and Peking Duck delivered to us by door dash-check out the service/app. Great place!!

Beautiful apartment but the owner is MIA and the girl in charge of maintaining the place is extremely unhelpful and pretends not to speak English. The place was full of dirty dishes, nasty laundry and the toilet seat is missing... The location is hard to beat though.

This is a really lovely apartment in one of the best locations in New York. The apartment has a couple of quirks (eg no toilet seat, no lights in the kitchen) but it is very charming and we really enjoyed our stay. We didn't get to meet Sara as she was overseas but we made use of her comprehensive guide to restaurants and bars which included some good recommendations, and we were able to collect the key from her friend's house. Would definitely stay here again.

Sara's place is awesome. The experience of living in this place for a short time gave us the experience of truly living in the community. Her place is charming and cozy. A creative inspiring space that is bright and lovely. The skylights 16' up provide beautiful light in this 5th floor penthouse. The view from the roof is stunning with views of the old neighborhood, water towers, and a great space the photograph and as I did sketch from. It is perfect for anyone wanting to experience what it truly is like to live in the East Village. We were sad to leave her home. It was very humid an hot while our stay and the A/C worked perfect!!

Response from Sara:
So cool, I am so glad you liked it. Sometimes I worry that the apartment has too much of my personality. Would love to see your sketches if you're interested to share. Enjoy the rest of your journey.

There was slight difficulty getting the keys since Sara was out of town and her cousin was at work. Sara was helpful and responsive. 5 floors walk-up was worth the sun filled apartment. It was neatly organized. The only thing is there were many small cockroaches showing up here and there. It is in Manhattan.. so expected..? but we felt uncomfortable leaving our luggages opened on the floor.

This is a sweet little penthouse apartment in the lively and fun Nolita/Soho neighborhood. Sara was out of town (working in Africa) and we may have been one of her first rentals, so there were a few little glitches in communication (thru her cousin, who let us in to the apartment) and a few little inconveniences, but I bet Sara will work them out -- she seems very nice. It's nice to have access to the roof (though you can't use the stairs in the apartment to get there), and be prepared to climb five flights -- but we would certainly come back, as we love the neighborhood and the apartment.
