This apartment is a gorgeous private studio. You will be in the heart of Washington, DC, and your neighbors will be government employees and graduate students. The National Mall, the White House, and D.C. memorials are literally within minutes' walking distance. Close to two major metro lines (at Foggy Bottom/Farragut West and at Farragut North).

The building includes a rooftop and a small gym.

The space

The apartment is a studio, which is spacious and can accommodate two people (if you don't mind sharing the bed, which fits two people, or having one use the sofa). Internet access and a PlayStation 3 are included. The PlayStation 3 can stream video and play DVDs.

Guest access

You will be using the apartment while I am away, so you will have access to all spaces. (Note: many of the drawers will have my clothes and personal effects.)

Interaction with guests

I will be away during your stay, but I will be easily reachable by phone and e-mail during the evenings.

The location of the room is _the_ selling point. We didn't meet the host but had a brief phone call and communicated via e-mail. This was very friendly and worked finde. The flat is not very clean though. The bed is ok, the books (male solo student it seems) are all over the place but are not bothering. So if you don't care for cleanliness too much and want to be close to the cool stuff in DC you can consider this place. The university garage next door charged us $35 from friday 10pm to sunday 9pm - you can pay that in 2 hours elsewhere!
