The community of neighbours feels safe at home and open to help others.
Welcome to the groundfloor apartment D-2!***
The apartment is in the Classic Edificio Condesa, building from the beginning of 1900 which takes a whole block. It's located in the ground floor, it has a beautiful indoor patio with plants where you can enjoy relax moments. Guest room has a window/door (double glazed) to the patio.
The apartment has been lived and loved by the family for many years. Lately has been remodeled trying to preserve the classic style but mixing with modern details that makes it more functional.
Is has internet access, TV with Netflix or any other digital service that you may have. You can also enjoy the movies and books that are in the house.
In winter, in case you feel cold, you have a gas heater for the living room and an electric one for the bedroom.
The building has on it commercial premises in the ground floor and you can have just outside the apartment very good restaurants (one with delicious coffee and bakery -Lardo-) and coffee shops.
Tuesdays you'll have just in front of the apartment (Pachuca Street, the other side of the apartment that your room is, so it won't disturb you ), the "Mercado sobre ruedas" (tianguis) where you can buy all kind of fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers... This is a unique experience that you should live in Mexico City.

Usually will be my mother (Isabel) who will welcome you and explain you how the space works, she'll give you tips about the neighborhood and try to answer any question you may have. You'll receive your keys and a print out of a map with nearby places and some instructions/tips in order to have your daily life in the apartment working in the most smoothly way.
You'll have access to living room, kitchen/dinning, studio, your bedroom with closet and bathroom and an indoor patio.

Interaction with guests
Any time you need anything please feel free to contact my mother or myself, we'll respond and try to solve any inquire you may have as soon as possible. Both of us speak Spanish and English and my mother also French.
The most important thing is that you enjoy the space, but there are some things to have in mind in order to have a good host-guest relationship.
I like respectful people, this means that are considerate with others and with the space. Smoking it's not permitted; parties are not allowed; please don't play music loud; have in mind that because of the indoor patio sound travels to other apartments in an easier way; if needed, you may close your windows in order to keep privacy. The indoor patio it's shared with a lovely lady, greens help to split the space and keep privacy between each other.
About child-friendly (2-12) it's something that I'd like to manage case by case.
Carmen, the lady that has ben cleaning and taking care of the house for many years, will come every Tuesday and every second Thursday (10a-3p). She will keep the house clean, the plants with water and although she doesn't speak English I'm sure you'll find the way to ask her anything you may need (i.e. if you want your bed sheets to be changed, just leave them in the floor).
If anything needs to be fixed it or it's broken, please let us know in order to work on it.
