Renting out the extra bedroom in our bright and cozy apartment, suitable for 1-2 guests. Clean bed linen and towels are provided.

The apartment is located in the eastern part of town, with immediate access to buses, trams and the metro.

The space

Welcome to our charming apartment in central Oslo!

The apartment is located in the north eastern parts of Oslo. Getting around the city is easy, since there is a variety of public communication available in a walking distance of only 2-7 minutes from the front door. Including the airport express bus to and from Gardermoen, which stops on the corner of the building. If you arrive by train it is easy to get to the apartment by public transportation (only 3 stops away on the underground). I'm afraid parking is difficult around here though, but there is a parking garage about 5 minutes from here that other guests have used.

Grünerløkka, which is known for it's cafés, restaurants, bars and small shops and boutiques, is only a 10 minute walk away. There are several parks and hidden gems in the area, so feel free to ask for tips! If you prefer to walk, you can get to the city centre from the apartment in about 30 minutes by foot. Right behind the apartment you will find the oldest allotment garden in Oslo. The guest room is located on this side of the apartment, so the bedroom is nice and quiet.

We love to cook, so you should find everything you need in the kitchen. You'll get your own shelf in the fridge, and are free to use our oils and spices! We will be renovating the kitchen in May 2017, so if you visit us after that the kitchen will look quite different from the current pictures.

The guest room has a nice size, and the bed is 120x200 cm (about 47x79 inches). It can be a bit small for two persons, but cosy if you're friends. You will also find a desk, an armchair, two chairs and a small table, so there are room to both relax and work. And if you want to enjoy your meals in private, that is also a possibillity. There is both a wardrobe and a dresser where you should have plenty of room for your stuff!

You will find complimentary tea, coffee, cocoa and such, as well as an electric kettle in your room, so you don't have to get dressed to make your morning coffee. There will also be maps and tourist brochures available to you. And if you need to do some laundry you will find detergents and fabric softener as well. In the wardrobe you will find both a drying rack, ironing board, iron and a hair dryer. In the bathroom you will have cabinet space for yourself, and you will find shower gel, shampoo and conditioner on its own shelf in the shower.

Respect and communication goes a long way!

Here are the basics:
- In my building there is a rule to keep things quiet from 23:00 to 08:00, and we try to follow this out of respect for the neighbours.
- In Norway it's common to take the shoes off when inside, so shoes go off in the hallway.
- Please help me keep my home tidy.
- No smoking inside the apartment.
- Please ask before bringing guests to the apartment.
- Animals are not accepted.
- Please clean up in the kitchen after use.
- I recycle! So please help me keep that up when you visit.
- Remember to lock the door to the apartment! And try not to loose the keys. There will be a lost key fee.
- Please feel at home and enjoy your stay!

Raghnhild was a fantastic host, very helpful from the beginning and offered us advice on public transport etc before our arrival in Norway. The apartment was in a perfect location, only a 15min stroll from the cool Grünerløkka area and not far from the metro station either. The room was perfect, and the extra touches like the fairy chocolates and the selection of teas and coffees were a bonus! We found everything that we needed in the room. The bed was also really really comfortable!! Raghnhild and Wictor were there to meet us when we arrived and were very friendly and easy to chat to. Overall a great place to stay for our first trip to Oslo. I would recommend her place to anyone! :)

Ragnhild and Wiktor are very nice and considerate host. They are easy to reach and reply our message quickly. The room is cosy. It is very suitable for couple or friends of two. The overall environment of the house is so warm and well decorated. The location is good and quiet. Just need a few minutes walking to the city centre and there is tram nearby for you to reach the city centre. The facilities and utilities there are adequate. You are freely to use the kitchen and the bedroom. I really appreciate the recycling system there, her place is highly recommended.

We definitely adored Ragnhild and Wiktor, and their place. The room was perfect : cosy, warm and everything was made to feel you comfortable. Ragnhild helped us very much, and gave us many information. The place is very-well situated for everything : access to airport, buses, the restaurants and the bars. This is our best Airbnb experience so we can only recommend ! Thank you for your kindness and for everything. It was fantastic !

Our stay at the apartment was very comfortable! It is about 3 minutes to a supermarket, sushi takeaway, pizza and kebab places! Also about 3 minutes to the bus and tram! Super easy! Ragnhild was extremely helpful when giving us tips about things to do in Oslo and how to get there etc. we used the kitchen every night, it was really great as Oslo is quite expensive! Would highly recommend!! Easy walk into the centre also.

Interaction with guests

I am happy to help you with what you need, so don't be afraid to ask! Whether you want tips to where to go or how the TV works. I will usually be home during your stay, so I am easy to get a hold of while you are here. My boyfriend lives with me, and he will be happy to help you out as well if you need anything. He will be at work during the weekdays, while you usually will find me at home. We enjoy meeting new people, but if you'd prefer to be left alone, we will have no problem respecting your privacy.
