Nicole’s place is in a great location. I practically had access to all the conveniences - grocery, gas station, eateries all in close proximity of her home. Her home is comfortable and clean which parallels the way I live . Her rules are common sense and respectful as well they …

Uncomfortable cheap little bed. The room got down into the upper 50s low 60s at night if you have the door closed for privacy. Not very good communicator. Decided to have unneeded home repairs/updates three days after I paid for my second month. Gave me 2 days to relocate on my …

Response from Nicole:
Unfortunately, Michael never rented the room for which he left a review. Despite both rooms being available upon his booking, he actually rented the "Full Bed in Large Guest Room" because the listing was cheaper. Upon his arrival, he decided that he liked the queen bed better and secretly went across the hall to sleep there multiple times. Against my better judgment, I rented the room to Michael, who is an Atlanta local. He was allegedly in transition and just needed a place to stay for a month before moving into his new apartment. In reality, Michael is a homeless man who moves between AirBnB listings every month; he was never moving into an apartment. He unpacked his entire POD Storage with all of his earthy belongings into my garage and the Full Bed room in which he stayed. He brought so many things that I was unable to use the other side of my garage. I assumed he was only bringing a suitcase. I never complained about his extra things because I knew he'd be leaving by January 26th. But on January 23rd, right before he left for an out of town business trip, Michael asked to extended his stay for another month, he also asked for a large discount. I tried telling him that I was having work done. I explained that I get multiple guests without offering a discount. And I also expressed that I didn't really want him to stay. But I felt cornered knowing that he would retaliate against me with a bad review if I didn't extend his stay. So I said yes. I didn't know however that he made a reservation for the Queen Bed room, which was more expensive. I had scheduled some updated construction work to be done on my house during the first week of February because I was leaving town for two weeks. When the contractor saw the rooms and bathroom, he advised me that he'd need full access to the entire half of the upstairs for about 7 days. I advised AirBnB of the situation, and as a courtesy, they gave Michael a full refund and found him a new place to stay. He refused to leave, threatened me with some choice words, and treated me with extreme hostility. AirBnB almost got their health and safety team involved to help me. But after they paid him extra money to leave, he did. If Michael was so uncomfortable, he wouldn't have asked to stay here for another month. He never complained about anything during his stay and being a local, he knew exactly where in town he'd be living (a neighborhood, not in the heart of Midtown). And to be quite honest, until I needed him to leave, he was very nice. It's guests like Michael which make listing uncomfortable and stressful.

Nicole is such a friendly and kind host. If I have one regret, I wish we didn't have so many family events when we visited Atlanta and could just hung out with Nicole. The location of her home is great. It is in a nice, cute neighborhood. It is very safe to walk around at nig…

I stayed with Nicole for three months and I would not recommend her place to friends because it wasn't a very warm environment. I would recommend only staying for a short period because it is a beautiful home but the amount of rules becomes tedious and tiring. I also did not rece…

Response from Nicole:
I find Nicole's comments offensive, especially since I refrained from leaving my most honest comments about her in my review of her. Nicole stayed in my home as a GUEST for more than three months. Upon my asking, Nicole confirmed multiple times that she had read and understood my house rules which state: "If you are going to use my things, please treat them in the respectful way that I would (i.e. cleaning your room and all common areas like they were cleaned upon your arrival)." I asked her if she was okay with that, and she said yes, so I allowed her to use my bedding and my linens for almost 100 days, although she was welcome to bring and use her own. Instead, Nicole left the bedroom she used in a disarray for a majority of the time she was here. She left dirty dishes in the bedroom and kitchen, and failed to clean after herself in the bathrooms, kitchen, and in the common areas. She failed to clean her hair out of the bathroom tub, which has clogged my drain. The door doesn't have a lock which requires a key to open, only the regular turn lock. And my housekeeper entered her room on a bi-weekly basis, and I only once, to retrieve dirty dishes and clean up. As far as the home not being "warm," that probably comes from us having a 20 year age difference, and her having a mousy personality. During her three months here, I was not around a lot because of work travel and going to see my family. And she mostly stayed in her bedroom. And one month into her stay, my mother became very ill, then died. Even with all of that, Nicole never showed any compassion or sympathy. Her mother, on the other hand, came twice and I didn't charge any fees for her stay. Her mother was a perfect guest and more like my ideal booking. Nicole could have checked out, gotten her money back, and left at any time. But she chose to stay, which speaks volumes of how she really felt about the home and the area. So if you're reading this and you are not the kind of person who can follow house rules, and maintain a clean house, room, kitchen and bathroom, then my home is not the place for you.

I have been Nicole's for over two months now and it truly feels like home. This was my first long-term Air BnB experience. I moved to Atlanta for a job and didn't want to sign a lease before arriving. Staying at Nicole's house has made my move so easy. Nicole's place is in a saf…
