Two-family oasis 15 mins north of Providence. Almost 1500 sqft of living space just for you. Adaptable loft sleeping area: romantic suite for two or a crafty option for whole family; large common area w/fireplace; stocked kitchenette (microwave only, no stove) Yoga/Hike/Bike/Paddleboard
Spread out over 1500 sq ft of living space -- a large studio styled loft bedroom with all linens (five twin beds, a queen futon (sleeps 2) and a rollaway cot). A spacious den stocked with a few board games, an awesome dining room with a view of the landscape, and a kitchenette with microwave only (no stove, no oven).
By kitchenette, we do mean kitchenette. The same amenities you would find in a hotel kitchenette, except everything is full sized: refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot for tea and coffee, counter space, and storage. There is no oven/stove in the kitchenette. The kitchenette does have an electric griddle, a toaster, dishware, and silverware.
This is a two family home. We live on one side of the property. A stay here means that you share walls with our family. Once you enter the main entrance, the entrance to your private living area is directly in front of you. The entrance to our family's area is to the left. We are happy to be as present or as invisible as you'd like during your stay.
In addition to almost 1500 sq ft of living space and a rolling landscape to picnic on.
We have a 700 sq ft yurt on the property. If the yurt is not in use, you have the option to schedule a private evening restorative yoga class at an additional cost or set aside some time for meditation. Access to the yurt must be prearranged and is not guaranteed.
You have access to the outdoor fire pit; great for roasting marshmallows or hotdogs (wood is available at several of our near by markets). You may bring your own smoky joe type grill as well for preparing a larger variety of foods like hamburgers, steaks, fish, etc.
Interaction with guests
We live on the property and will be happy to help make your stay relaxed and enjoyable or be "invisible" so that you can enjoy your time away.
Other things to note
There are two indoor cats that reside on the owners' side of the property. The rental side of the property is a cat free zone. No pets allowed.
Please use common sense and be considerate. Quiet hours are in effect from 11pm - 7am. This is a no shoe home, please bring slippers.
No smoking is allowed anywhere in or on our property. No firearms or drugs are allowed anywhere in or on our property. Please notify the Hosts if you would like to use the fire pit.
We provide you with a clean space and maintain a recycling practice; we ask that you support this by cleaning up after yourself. Use the trash receptacles and recycling bin. Return used items to their proper place.
Please refrain from taking food or dark drinks (coffee, cola, red wine, etc) upstairs to the sleeping area. The carpet is very light in color and we'd prefer that it remain that way.
Do not attempt to flush tampons here. Our septic system does not digest tampons. Please use the provided receptacles.
We do allow for small events: reunions, vow renewals, bridal showers, baby showers, milestone birthdays, graduation celebrations, etc. Events larger than 12 people will incur an additional fee. We love to help make magic happen, just tell us about your vision and we'll see if we can accommodate it. Use of the yurt is an additional fee.
On the grounds, adhere to the Hiker's Code: take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints.
I am a yogi.
My husband, Errick, is not. He is a horror writer and a black belt in Krav Maga.
We love well crafted food, thoughtful cocktails, and books that can transport.
We love exploring places that are off the beaten path and much prefer getting to know the locals.
When we host, we bring in the New England charm with a dash of Southern comfort and a heaping spoonful of an Artist's acceptance of the beautifully strange.
Our family motto is "it's all good".
