Overall a good place and nice people. Its a beautiful location and extremely affordable. You couldn't get mobile network (mine was t mobile) though so if you are expecting important calls this may not be the best place but the host had wifi network. The family had lovely cats and dogs who are. friendly. It is an interesting experience for sure. Have fun exploring! Cheers.

Unless you like to feel like you are in a mental hospital with bug. Not to mention dogs chained up out side all day I dont recommend any one staying at this air bnb!

The location is a right in the middle of the forest (sort off), which could be scary for some and awesome news for the adventurous folks like me. The place 2 dogs and a couple of cats. One of the dogs is really friendly and the other one stays out to guard the house against nearby animals since there is a lake nearby. The room I stayed in had 5 bunk beds and a crib, ample blankets, pillows were provided. The room has a coffee machine and a fridge. The kitchen/dining area has picnic benches that can accommodate many. The living area has a lot of interesting things to look around, lot of antique stuff, A WORKING PIANO, a lazy-boy to relax. So in all, this is a pretty interesting place to live and Patsy is really helpful and kind. And just be aware that the location is reached after driving through a half mile gravel driveway, dont be surprised by that.

Patsy was an amazing host! She let us set up in her queen bedroom which was very clean and comfortable! She is an incredibly nice person and lives on a beautiful chunk of land. I would recommend this location to anyone looking to be close to wildlife. The drive from Asheville was no longer than an hour.

Hike the mountain behind the closest horse pasture. Quite the workout and you get an amazing view. The bunkroom is perfect for groups and is extremely quiet. Also only an hour away from Asheville and Beech Mountain. Awesome place!

Patsy was accommodating and extremely responsive. The location is a little far off and the beds were basic but it was clean and overall a great pleasant stay!

I like gardening and staying active. I am the owner of Peak Mountain Cottages. I enjoy meeting people and making them feel a part of our family.
