This is a fantastic place to stay a little outside of town. The community room is a great space for story swaps and game nights. Everything is very cute, clean, and easy-going.

This hostel was the icing on the cake to our visit to the North Shore. We were super hesitant about booking at first because the word "hostel" seems to make me internally freak out. However, our stay was AMAZING. We had the best time, and we'd definitely stay here again and again. Pros: - Charlie! If you love dogs, you will LOVE Charlie. If you don't like dogs, then you shouldn't be trusted in the first place. (; - amazing price - impeccably clean -- both the rooms and bathrooms - close to many different hiking trails - little fire pit outside the hostel that you can use every night - super friendly hosts and the chance to interact with (or not interact with) as many of the other guests as you want - made from recycled materials and has environmentally friendly utilities Cons (and we would like to specify that this is not the fault of the hosts and wouldn't come close to deterring us from staying here again). - quiet times are from 10 pm to 8 am. However, not everyone follows this request. On our first night, someone woke up at 4:30 am to grind coffee beans and they were at it for over half an hour. On the bright side, it had us up early enough to watch the sunrise. Other nights, the guests in the bunks on the top level were running around (I think they were playing a game) wildly around 11 pm. The only reason I mention this is because if you are easily annoyed by noisiness, this is something you have to realize is a possibility going into it.

We loved our stay with Kate and Jeremy. The hostel is in a great location with a beautiful view over the lake, and easy access to the Superior Hiling Trail. It was clean and comfortable, with a nice communal area and good amenities. Kate was a warm and welcoming host, and Charlie the dog was happy and very friendly!

This is actually my second time coming back there! It’s officially my favorite place to stay when I’m in north shore, both for its value and for the environment. Kate and Jeremy are very warm and welcoming, and were able to accommodate my late check out. The place was absolutely lovely, and gives off a relaxing, rustic country-vibe. You get the experience of sitting by the fire, chatting with other tenants, and staring at the stars. I actually got to see the northern lights directly overhead the first time I was here! It is a much better alternative to staying at a hotel.
