Casa Cakchiquel is the cultural heritage of Panajachel.
Built in 1948 by the Swedish countess Aimee Spens, “El Cakchiquel” was one of the first accomodations on Lake Atitlán and hosted intellectuals like Che Guevara and Ingrid Bergman in the 1950's! We are located in the heart of Panajachel, right off Calle Santander. The room has a private bathroom with hot water and is for either 1 or 2 bed(s) and direct access to the porch and a beautiful garden area. Internet is courtesy of the house.

Great location, pretty small room for more than two. Quiet place even though is near Santander street. Only thing it was not so clean.

The place is a self contained suite which leads into a lovely garden to sit in. It is very well situated, clean, pleasant, and Andre was excellent at helping us whenever we needed it. Thank you. We had a really pleasant stay

This place was so great! It is an old house that houses a restaurant, yoga studio, and radio station. It was really cool that we were the only ones staying at the location. The location is steps away from the popular Calle Santander where there are amazing shops and street food. …

Totally recommend Andres’s place. Really cool set up, great location, comfy beds, hot water and a bath, fab Japanese restaurant on site and also spa (foot massage was ace). Andres is a lovely, kind person who made us feel very welcome.

Andres place is excellent. It is centrally located, close to the lake and to all the shopping. While it is close to the main street it is not loud because it faces the inner yard, which on its own is super nice and beautiful. The apartment is very well put together, tasteful, th…
