Escape to our luxurious, peaceful farmstay — perfect for romantic getaways, family escapes and those seeking a little time out.
Enjoy your own private, dog-friendly garden, plus acres of landscaped grounds, country walks, budding native bush and farm paddocks.
As night falls, gaze up at breathtaking stars beneath our internationally recognised Dark Sky.
The space
Your whole home, cosy rural retreat includes two queen sized bedrooms, two bathrooms and undercover parking.
For your enjoyment is a modern open plan lounge, dining and fully equipped kitchen and a cosy, yet mighty fireplace to keep you nice n toasty after a day of exploring, wine tasting, or even a day of doing nothing at all….
On the warm sunny days open those large sliding doors and enjoy the north facing private deck and the peaceful view of the rolling hills and farmland beyond.
Why not fire up the bbq and enjoy some cold drinks too!
Your queen bedroom has its own ensuite and a walk in robe.
The second queen bedroom has its own seperate bathroom.
Both bathrooms have heated floors and towel rails.
Our rural lifestyle property is an undulating 14 acres tucked away, down a quiet rural (gravel) farm road.
With an establishing English style decidious woodland and acres of the property is/being planted with native kiwi bush and gardens the wildlife is abundant.
Whilst you’re here, feel free to come and feed the horse, sheep, chickens or cows with us, or just enjoy watching them from a distance as you enjoy the gardens.
Driveway access to your cottage is shared by us at the main house.
We like to think we’re quite hospitable and are happy to show you around, or if you’d prefer, we can leave you to your downtime. :)
Guest access
Aside from your private north facing cottage garden…
..you also have acres and acres of rolling green grazing paddocks, emerging native NZ bush, evolving native NZ gardens, plus, a budding English style deciduous woodland!
As a working farm, there is a farm yard and farm outbuildings that are by invitation.
Please also note that there are other hazards to consider if you want to bring dogs or small people; such as electric farm fences, an unfenced farm dam/pond, livestock and neighbours farms!.
We do insist that children are supervised at all times outside of your own private, fully fenced garden (and that your four legged friend/s are on their leads!).
Other things to note
Next door to your cottage is the main house - where we live - with our own separate social areas and privacy.
Need extra rooms?
If there’s more than 2 bedrooms required for your stay, then our house has a seperate secure guest wing - with its own private access.
The guest wing has two gorgeous and spacious queen sized bedrooms, a family/TV room, plus separate bathroom and separate toilet.
Note: Seperate pricing applies. Ask us in advance for details.
Don’t want to cook during your stay?
After a day of travelling, tasting or exploring, you may not want to shop for food or cook a meal when you arrive….
So we may have the solution for you and your hungry crew…
We are able to offer options for family share-style home cooked meals that can be delivered hot and ready to enjoy .
