The mystique of: the Llamas and Miniature Horses, serene mountain lodging, wild life, sit in a perfect balance of hillside views, with some shrouded Aspen and Pine forest, which make for a unique picturesque  setting.

Our local 9% Sales and Lodging Taxes have been included in these prices.

The space

My husband is a Southern Gentleman, and was taught Southern Hospitality, combine that with the Rugged Wyoming adventurous spirit and that is what we & this room stands for. The room has a large double sided mirrored closet, and nice ventalating ceiling fan in addition to what you see.
The bathroom has great counterspace, two sinks, and excellent lighting. It also has a door that locks off separately the shower and the toilet. There is an over-flow shower in the sunroom. In a pinch, guests may also use the toilet upstairs.

Guest access

The Lower Rooms have their own outside deck and private entry into a sun-room. The sunroom has a large electric cooler (for refrigeration) it also has a table and a microwave. We stock it with coffee, herbal teas and hot chocolate. We can provide a grill giving access to some of your own outdoor cooking if you desire, or there is a fire-pit.
The Sunroom is large and esspecially nice in the Spring and Fall. (If you can overlook that some of windows have hard water stains, and a couple of rust stains on the floor). It is a beautiful way to enjoy the outdoors from the inside. Hoping that you would want to share your experience with your family or friends , we have multiple room discounts available. With 2 or more rooms, this is your private space to meet and congregate, but don't overlook the beautiful outdoors. We have several acres with beautiful shrouded hillside views to use, enjoy and explore. (Guests who take 2 rooms will receive a 15% discount, and Guests who take all 3 room will receive a 35% discount).

Interaction with guests

Don and Laural would like to share their little corner of Paradise in Wyoming with you for your lodging needs.  As your host and hostess we want to make your stay with us as wonderful as possible. What we love here is: the pure taste of freedom, the pure smell of fresh air, the sunshine and deep blue sky ~300 days of the year. We also love the wide open outdoors with it's variety of terrain offering world class: fishing, hiking, kayaking, climbing, ATVing, mountain biking, snowmobiling, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, and some of the best hunting in the U.S. We love being one with nature and enjoying: proud bugeling Elk, majestic Mule Deer, roaming Antelope, mischevious Squirrels, mysterious Llamas, cooing Pheasant, and the playful Miniature Horses. Life doesn't get any better than this! We are here to help you in any way we can.

Other things to note

Walk along the whispering creek and enjoy the Llamas and Miniature Horses - a very pleasant way to start or end your day.  Sightings of pheasant, squirrels, deer and other wild life in the early morning and late afternoon are very common.
A stay with Don & Laural is an experience to be remembered!

Laurel's room is a good value in an excellent location for backpackers heading into the Worthen Reservoir trail heads or for climbers visiting the Sinks. Laurel is very careful to make sure that someone is available to open the house when guests arrive. Otherwise, we were very independent, which was fine for us.

A charming & peaceful setting outside of town. Wildlife alongside vegetation with trees is very comforting.

Great stay at a beautiful home on Wyoming hills. Cannot beat the value of this place! There are mini horses you can see and their whole yard is beautiful. Really nice and welcoming hosts too.

We had a wonderful 3 nights at Laural's house in Lander. The beds were very comfortable, the house was quiet and we all slept well. Very much enjoyed sitting out on the various rocking swings around the ranch and watching the deer, lamas, miniature horses and chickens. The house is ideally located for visiting the spectacular Sinks Canyon. I was dropping my son off to attend Central Wyoming College/NOLS at the Sinks Canyon Campus - so the location of the house was particular great for us. Although I did not meet Laural, as she was away on vacation, communication before her vacation was great. Laurel arranged for a lovely friend of the family, Olivia, to greet us and show us around the house and we could contact Olivia at any time with questions. We were made to feel very welcome and we will definitely return. Thanks for a great stay.

Response from Laural:
This Instant Book reservation was made within 2 days of arrival. As soon as I saw the booking, I realized that there was a conflict with another previous booking, so I informed Joe immediately, and he requested I cancel the reservation.
