First, we do have 3 very friendly dogs who absolutely love people. They will greet you every time you come in and out and beg for love and attention anytime you're out in the living room.
Trax and the fairgrounds are 4 blocks away. We are two Trax stops away from Gateway, and the Arena. The Salt Palace Convention center is one more stop down the line. Gateway has a movie theater, restaurants, cafes, bars, shops, music venues etc, we go there a lot. Street Tacos are just a short walk away too!
We only rent one room in our house, a guest bedroom located in the back of our home. It has a queen size bed with a memory foam mattress. The door to the room has a lock on it and there is a dresser for extra storage of personal items. We also have a mini fridge in the room for you to use and free WiFi.
Linens & Towels:
The sheets on the bed are clean and there will be clean towels in the room for you to use. There are extra towels, sheets and warm blankets in the dressers should you need them. Please use the white towels only when you use the hot tub because the chlorine acts as a bleach.
We understand that it’s hard enough sleeping as a guest in someone home or in a different climate where the temperature is not what you are familiar with. We make an effort to keep the room as comfortable as possible. There is a wall mounted heater if you're chilly, and a ceiling fan / openable window to cool off or air out the room. We want you to enjoy your stay with us and to be cozy.
Other things to note:
Because we have collectibles, glass, and a hot tub with no lock we do ask no young children (under 12). Also because we don't know how our dogs will react to your pets, we request no travelers with pets. Smoking is allowed outside on the deck. We do not have a house phone and we do not let guests use our personal cell phones. Guests need to make sure they have their phone arrangements in order before arrival.
The front door of course! There is an electronic lock on it and you can access the code after the room is booked. The Livingroom, kitchen, hallway, bathroom and backyard are common areas for guests, friends, and family to use. The full bathroom is located in the hallway. It is stocked with shampoo, conditioner and body wash for you to use. Washer and dryer are also available with laundry soap and fabric softener, located in the room outside the guest bedroom. Kitchen and living rooms are commom areas along with the fully fenced private back yard, BBQ, and a deck and hot tub!
You can park in the back yard behind the gate if you want to be off the street, but please pull all the way back so you don't block the driveway. We need to get to work in the morning :).
Interaction with guests
Our dogs will greet you with friendly curiosity at first and for the most part just wander around doing dog things like protecting the front yard from the mailman. We are social people and are easily approachable for questions or to chat but understand if you need your space. We are light drinkers and we host a board game night with our friends on Tuesdays nights. We have two people that come by and work in and around the home during the weekdays. On Wednesdays, spa service will come and clean the hot tub. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday we have a house cleaning service.
Other things to note
We do have three large dogs. They kind of live here more than we do, but they don't usually go into the guest bedroom unless someone is in there inviting them in (there is, of course, a door as well). Please make sure to close the door when you leave so they don't come sniffing around. Especially if you've left food out in your room!
There is a TV in the room, but no antenna or cable. It is good for Netflix, Amazon video, etc. though.
Feel free to park behind the gate, just please pull all the way in and don't block the driveway.
We do have security cameras at our house. The footage is saved online if you find anything stolen we are happy to share whatever footage might have been captured with you.
We also host a shindig every Tuesday with our friends. You are welcome to join us, or not, either is totally fine.
Please DO NOT smoke in the house. Tobacco, Vape, or anything else. Totally not negotiable on this, just don't do it. We have a great deck out back, or a nice porch out front. Go outside to smoke :)
Also please clean up your cigarette butts too. Don't leave them around.
The rest of these are things we've unfortunately added because of bad guests. We know that 99% of AirBnB's out there wouldn't really do this stuff, but here it is anyway...
Coffee on the counter is to share. It's awful that we have to ask, but some people don't get it... Please don't eat the food, or drink the liquor from our cupboards, fridge, freezer, etc. We won't eat the food in the mini fridge in your room, don't eat the food in ours :)
The hot tub is always available, but please use some common courtesy and be respectful and quiet. Don't skinny dip, and don't be noisy. Don't get the house all wet, and please, for all our sakes, change in the bedroom or bathroom, not the hallway.
I think most of this is common sense, in general, please be kind to us, our place, our pets and our stuff.
*Close the bedroom door to keep the dogs out (Unless you want them to visit of course)
*Please keep it down after 10:00 or so, we both work full time.
*Don't block the driveway
*No smoking inside (Including Vape, Hookah & "other" products)
*Clean up your cigarette butts
*Don't eat food that's not on the counter to share
*Don't drink liquor that's not yours
*NO illegal drugs (Duh)

We live here in Salt Lake City. Love to travel but have a hard time leaving the dogs when we do. Some of the best-planned trips we've had weren't actually planned. We make sure to hit a highlight or two, but open time and road-side attractions make for great stories. Come share yours with us too!
