Photos are deceiving, kitchen is just a sink/ hob, bathroom is compromised but worst of all is the noise. The street is used as the main walk through from the Acropolis and is very noisy. Of the 4 nights we stayed we had problems on 3 of them. On two occasions youths had to be removed from the main entrance who were chatting/ drinking until the early hours. On the other, numerous dogs were left unattended in the apartment below and were barking continuously. The host tried his best but does not live nearby. I was amazed when on our last night he asked myself to remove the youths as it was too late in the evening to contact the administrator! Bed is comfy but would not recommend if you are looking for a relaxing break that involves getting any sleep!

Response from Labros:
The behaviour of Mr. Tim Whaley unfortunately was almost offensive. He and his family comments when he was welcomed by me in the house were positive and happily surprised by the inside of the house. No disappointment was expressed at that time whatsoever. The photos give an exact description of the small smart kitchen of the house with the exact appliances listed through Airbnb and it's the first time i heard something like that. The comment regarding the bathroom i am not able to even comment about as the characterazation compromised is in the contrary with the reality and more likely a negative review. As for the noise, it is untrue that the area and the house were noisy the 3 of the 4 nights. The client informed me late at night (the 2nd night) about the noise of some dogs, which were inside the basement of the building and belong to the neighbour who cares for them and also about some children who were outside (in a public area) and played. It is very important to note and consider that following client's complain, and in approx. 30 minutes, I had contacted the neighbour about the dogs and the building administator about the children's noise, and resolved both issues. The client did not express any thanks. Of course, if the client had informed me about any issues during the 1st night I would have resolved them promptly again. It seems that during the last night some children had shown around the house and the noise from their chating was distructing. Mr. Whaley had complained again but the time was nearly midnight and it was not possible to reach the building administrator in order to request the children to leave further away from the building's road entrance. Having exhausted all options, i kindly asked the client to request by the children to be more quite outside. Obviously, it is not possible to control a whole public area, or prevent some incidents from happening, although the acropolis area is mostly quiet and always safe. Finally, the street it is most certainly not noisy. It is a narrow, one way street which directs you in 100m in the pedestrian street where the archaeological site of Acropolis begins. The objective review of the house is reflected in the vast majority of the reviews available.

Labros greeted us personally, provided a tour of the apartment as well as all the information we needed for our stay. Everything was clean and beautifully presented, like something from pintrest. The sofa bed is quite large, our 2 y/o was very comfortable on it. There are separately controlled air conditioners in the living room and main bedroom. Shutters on the windows were perfect for getting a really dark room for a good rest near the end of our trip. Main bed was very comfortable. The apartment is prefectly located for visiting the main attractions of Athens. We had a wonderful time walking around the Acropolis (just around the corner). Strongly suggest that you baby carry of you have small children. The area is a bit awkward for strollers, especially as you head uphill. Overall we were very happy with the apartment and location. Thanks Labros for a fantastic stay.

This apartment was perfect for our stay in Athens. The beds were comfortable, there was plenty of space for three of us and while small the kitchen worked fine for a few basic meals. We didn't get to meet Labros since he had been called out of town, however, he was still very responsive to our needs and made arrangements with friends to help us out when necessary. The best part of this apt. was the location. Located under the Acropolis, near the Acropolis Museum and metro station, we could easily reach all the tourist sites by foot or metro. Thanks Labros!
