Hello, Bonjour and 你好 everyone! I'm Tarbo.
I am super friendly, outgoing, and down to earth. One of my favorite pastimes is socializing with other people. And also, I love reading books. I’m more interested in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and philosophy than manga and anime. Sorry for all you Japanese manga and anime lovers!
I was born in Osaka, but grew up in Kyoto and am now living in Nara. Also, I used to live in Tokyo, Nagoya and Fukuoka, which means I know about most of the big cities in Japan. I studied Architecture in Boston, Massachusetts. After coming back to Japan, I decided to start my own design company called “Shortline,” where we design graphics and build websites. One of the big projects we worked on was a logo for UNEP.
I decided to start Airbnb because I want to meet people from around the globe, travel all over the world and become more fluent in English. In addition, I am currently learning French and Chinese and I want to use this opportunity to learn more languages. Also, I’ll love to teach you all some Japanese or bad bad Japanese slang if you’d prefer. I’m really excited to learn about new cultures and teach you about mine. However, I'm not referring to superficial information like who’s famous now and etc., but much deeper things such as the problems of your country, immigrants, religion, politics, minorities, sexual customs, new technologies and new venture businesses. But yeah we don't have to talk about these kinds of things if you’re not interested. Just enjoy playing with the deer and enjoy Japan. Let's have tons of fun!
