Bjarne was the perfect host and a person well worth meeting. He very quickly dealt with any questions we had before and during our stay. He's also a great chap to have a chat with. The house itself is full of character and located in a quiet, off-the-grid, wooded area. The perfect spot to relax and unwind. The house is surrounded by trees, so although you have neighbours you still have the feeling of having the place to yourself. Expect a few surprise visitors such as wild deer and hares who often roam by as you relax. The beach is within easy walking distance, where we spent many a happy hour. In the nearby town of Vig you will find the local supermarket, plus a flea market every Wednesday & Saturday. All in all the ideal location for a back to basics break.

Nice cottage in quiet forest environment. It lies in a holiday home area but we barely noticed any neighbours. Close by the sea and beach (but need to cross a bridge or moory area to get to it). The house was simple and clearly 50s, some parts were old (bed, toilet, shower) but mostly good-functioning. The kitchen was fine and well-equipped. We had a few problems with the washing machine and toilet, but Bjarne always came over within 15 minutes and fixed them right away. He was a wonderful host!

It was an easy process to book - we had confirmation within a few hours. We didn't have any problems with our stay. We absolutely loved the atmosphere and cosiness of this place, especially at this time of year. You can really feel the 50s vibe, but it has been modernised. We'd definitely stay again, preferably in summer and would recommend the place and Bjarne as a host to anyone! He was there to let us in and answer any questions we had, plus recommend his favourite places. This wasn't our first trip to the area, and in the right season we would 100% recommend the Vig market - it's awesome, and don't be afraid to negotiate! This time we went beachcombing and enjoyed time next to the crackling fire. We had a night at the Pottegaarden. Overall the area was so quiet and peaceful, the lack of people meant that nature came up to our doorstep - deer, squirrels, pheasants, hares... so lovely!
