Yilen's place was wonderful! It is actually run by her mother (?), Mari. Mari is an excellent host, who loves to talk about anything (in Spanish and some English) and serves HUGE breakfasts, complete with excellent fruit juices. (If you don't like huge breakfasts or a particular fruit (ahem, papaya), tell Mari before the first day. She's very accommodating.) Also, Mari will arrange a taxi to another town/the beach/the airport for you. Her apartment is beautiful with probably twenty feet ceilings and a balcony. The room we stayed in didn't have windows, but it did have air conditioning and a private bathroom. We found the bed slightly uncomfortable, but we've slept in worse. The location was great; it bordered the Vedado and Centro Habana neighborhoods and was just a few blocks from the Malecon. This place is most certainly worth the price!
