My home - filled with love and all my quirky things. Conveniently located - under an hour's drive of both Caen and Cherbourg ferry terminals. Within easy reach is Mont St. Michel, Bayeux and the Normandy beaches. My cat will be thrilled to see you!

The space

A private house with bags of character, with a large garden. In addition to a cosy lounge, with a wood burning stove and a double sofa bed, there is a large separate dining room and also my library of food and wine books, which also has a double sofa bed.

Guest access

You can have the place to yourself, or come to stay on a B&B/evening meal basis by arrangement.

Interaction with guests

I can be available if necessary but prefer to leave you to do your own thing.

Other things to note

I have a cat (Minky) who loves cuddles, and is usually OK with friendly dogs. There is a DVD player but no TV and internet access is spasmodic.

Wonderfully decorated - very arty and quirky. Nice wide, comfortable bed. Minky is very sweet and affectionate (and loves tuna!). Enough classy china to cope with a very large party!

The converted barn is great for families looking to unplug and be in the countryside. Linda was very helpful and responsive to our questions. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a slightly rustic getaway with all the creature comforts.

I am glad that you enjoyed staying at the house ...... unfortunately the next lot of guests threw the sausage away! Hope you can stay for longer another time.

This is a delightfully secluded barn ideal for exploring Normandy by car. We really loved being in a home so full of character with its incredible book collection, fireplace and beamed ceilings. Thank you!

Our family loved having a true French country experience in a very homey farmhouse. Linda clearly loves taking care of her guests even though we never met - she was very communicative and helpful. Minky, the cat, made it really cozy. We enjoyed the great choice of movies and library of books. This location was close proximity to touring Normandy sightseeing- easy 1/2 hour drive to Bayeux. Rain or shine this cozy converted Barn, now cozy farmhouse home is a great place to be. Loved the comfort of the crackling fire.

Great, homely place to stay in Normandy, with easy access to motorway and ferry terminals so brilliant for seeing northern France by car. Minky the cat was adorable and made a great, affectionate host :) Linda was a pleasure to deal with. The master bedroom was so comfortable and warm!
