Steve was very friendly he gave us suggestions of things that to do in the city. Hid place was exactly as showed, everything was really good. Thanks Steve!

We loved our stay at Steve's Lustron home! The area was nice and we enjoyed walks to local restaurants. The history of the Lustron home was what originally piqued our interest in staying at Steve's place. An Uber ride into the city only takes about 10 minutes and the fare was typically around $10-15. We never met Steve, but he quickly responded whenever we had any questions. Also, and most amazingly, when I inquired about whether or not there was a washer/dryer at the house Steve said that there wasn't but he would see what he could do. When we arrived he had in deed hooked up a washer and dryer! I couldn't believe it! Steve went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We truly loved the area and would stay at one of Steve's places again!

Quick response from Steve and he provided all details we needed. Clean, comfortable, no frills. Short walk to restaurants and a playground, and quick drive to DC. Great pit stop on our family road trip.

It was really fun this -Historic Lustron Home made of Steel- When Steve would change the furniture with furniture from the 50's you would definitely be in a time warp and he could rent it out as an living in the 50's experience! The house was perfect with all the amenities. We arrived with classic music playing on the background and had clear instructions for the key! The house was clean and despite the hot and humid weather in Arlington, the steel house was cool and dry! Just as any other modern build house (so don't be afraid). We've ran out of coffee, but before we even could blink our eyes, Steve supplied us with a large canister of new coffee and creamer. We didn't meet him, but he takes care of everything you want or need and it's easy to communicate with him via email and phone. It's a quiet area even at nights and you get around very easy with the bus stop almost next door. A short stroll away there are restaurants en bars and within 12/20 minutes your downtown Washington (a few stops with the Bus and Metro) Our advice: why bother and stay in an expensive and busy DC hotel when you van stay in easy going Arlington and still enjoy the Capital.

My mother and I stayed here for a night before catching a flight out of DCA; it was perfect for our purposes! The covered parking was a definite plus, as was the extra-cold A/C. The rooms were immaculately clean- you could tell Steve had been there to clean between us and the previous guest- there were vacuum lines in the carpet! A couple of things to note: make sure and reach out to Steve for clear instructions for check-in- I assumed we'd get an email closer to the date, but Steve called instead. Normally this wouldn't be a problem, but we both had bad cell reception, making for a little bit of a lost-in-translation situation. There aren't any clear check-in instructions already included in his profile once you've made the reservation. Also: if you enjoy long hot showers, this might not be the ideal place for you. The shower only stays hot for about 3 minutes, so shower quickly!

Response from Steve:
To be specific, this review is for my Historic Lustron House Listing; the all-steel home. I assure you the shower will last more than 3 minutes. It has a 40 gallon hot water heater.
