Stylish room to rent in beautiful 120m2 apartment in Geneva for single, double or twin occupation (1 queen-size bed, 1 single bed).
The apartment is located quietly but very central in the St-Jean quarter (UN/CERN/airport side), only 3 bus stops from the main railway station and 15 minutes from the airport. There is a direct bus connection to the UN quarter.
The room is equipped with free Wi-Fi, iPod/Android/MP3 sound station incl. alarm clock, cupboard, and office table. There is a 20" plasma TV connected to a DVD player (no TV reception).
Other shared facilities: Fully equipped kitchen with tea kettle, espresso machine, microwave and toaster (incl. free Nespresso coffee/tea supplies). Bathroom with tub/shower, toilet and hair dryer. Separate guest toilet. Living room with 40" LED TV, Dolby surround stereo, DVD/Blu-ray, and beamer (200+ DVDs on stock, Pay-per-View movies and sports events optional).
Balcony leading to private garden terrace (40m2) with BBQ grill, lounge chairs and jacuzzi (winter only).
Parking in private underground garage optional (CHF 20,00/day).
Two supermarkets within 1 minute walking distance. Various restaurants nearby. Easily reachable by public transport.
The apartment is shared by two friends, a Swiss and an Irish guy, and we very often have dinner BBQs to which our guests are warmly welcome. :-)
Please note that there are two sweet cats living in the apartment. Since there is parquet flooring everywhere, this usually does not cause a problem, however, if you're highly allergic to cat hair you might want to look out for an alternative place to stay...

Apart from taking your shoes off and not smoking in the apartment (you can smoke on the balcony and/or on the garden terrace), there are no particular rules. Just use your common sense and feel like at home!
Oh, yes - there is one more: Please close the door to your room all times to prevent from the cats sneaking in... ;-)
I am Peter, a sociable, open-minded and welcoming Swiss guy living in Geneva since 1995. I work as head of operations for a human rights NGO.
I love travelling and meeting people as much as you do, so accommodation-wise I do expect a certain standard when being away. Be assured I am doing my very best to make you meet your expectations. I am pretty confident you will not be disappointed!
Looking forward to meeting you soon at my place! :-)
