House Rules
Not suitable for pets
Check in time is flexible

Smoking is permitted, yet…
We ask you not to smoke or not to light up
anything inside the house outside of the living
room. If you do smoke, we would expect you to
open the windows by the end of your stay so that
the smell can start to vanish with fresh air coming
It is absolutely forbidden to throw cigaret butts
on our wooden floor, or to let any cigaret
unattended. Half of the house is made of wood!
Also, cigarets butts do not grow inside the soil,
no need to throw them on our grass, inside the
plants or to dig them inside the soil.
Cigaret ash trays are more appropriate (you can
find some in the kitchen cupboards).

1. Leave the damper open before lighting the
fire and keep it open, even after the ashes are
cool. This will avert the build-up of poisonous
gases, especially while the family is sleeping.

2. Only burn dry logs that have been split,
stacked, and dried. We have let some stock in
our garage for your use

3. Burn firewood and only firewood! Crates,
lumber, construction scraps, painted wood, or
other treated wood releases chemicals into
the home, compromising air quality. Log
starters are fine for getting your wood
fireplace going, but they burn very hot;
generally only use one at a time.

4. Do not poke artificial logs because the
flaming wax could stick to the poker and drop
onto the floor or carpet. Poking a log could
also cause a flare-up.

5. Never use gasoline, charcoal lighter or other
fuel to light or relight a fire because the
vapors can explode. Never keep flammable
fuels near a fire. Vapors can travel the length
of a room and explode.

6. Do not use coal or charcoal in a fireplace
because of the danger of carbon monoxide
build-up. It is not a good idea to burn trash or
wrappings in fireplace fires because
polystyrene foam and other coated materials
can generate deadly fumes. Flying paper
embers could also ignite the roof.

7. Home rolled newspaper logs should never be
soaked in flammable fuels of any kind
because of the severe danger of explosion.
Soaking the newspaper in water either before
rolling or during rolling removes the clay
content and will provide a better burning log.
Then, stack the logs on end and let them dry
for two weeks in the basement. When lighting
the newspaper logs, use kindling just as you
would for a regular fire.

8. Do not overload the fireplace. Large fires can
lead to overheating of wall or roof materials -
To burn a fire safely, build it slowly, adding
more wood as it heats.

9. Always use the screen around the fireplace to
keep sparks from flying out and to protect
children and adults from accidental clothing

10.Warn children about the danger of fire. Do
not let them play with fire.

11. Keep flammable materials such as carpets,
pillows, furniture or papers away from the
fireplace area. Be sure the Christmas tree is
not close enough to be ignited by a spark. Be
especially careful of accidentally igniting
holiday wrapping papers.

12. Make sure that the fire is out completely
before retiring for the night or when leaving
the house.

Safety Comes First

1. Children should NOT use a hot tub without
alert adult supervision

2. Do not change temperature, we set it at 36.5°
as it is potentially dangerous for children when
hot tub tempe exceeds body temperature (37°)

3. Prolonged immersion with temperature
excessing 38° may be injurious to adult too.
We recommend lower temperature and
shorter use periods. hence we have blocked
the temp at 36.5°.

4. Do not allow children to submerge their hear
under water. The Jacuzzi is not a pool

5. Do not sit in front of the suction fittings/
skimmer, as this will obstruct proper
circulation. Whilst this jacuzzi is equipped with
proper suction guards, do not let small kids
play with it or sit on it when hot tub pump is at
high speed. It may result in personal injury

6. Always keep the hardcover installed and
locked when the hot tub is not in use.

7. People using medications and/or having any
adverse medical history should consult a
physician before using a hot tub.

8. People with infections diseases should not use
a hot tub.

9. Exercise caution when entering or exiting a hot
tub. Turn off the jets before entering the hot
tub to improve visibility of the steps.

10. To avoid unconsciousness and possible
drowning, do not use drugs or alcohol before
or during the use of a hot tub.

11. Pregnant woman should consult a physician
before using a hot tub

12. Do not use a hot tub immediately following
strenuous exercise.

13. Do not permit electrical appliances (such as
light, telephone charger, radio, television) in
the room.

Help us keep our Spa clean
We endeavour to provide a clean water to our
guests so you can enjoy the hot tup at anytime.
Part of the cleanup fee is actually about that,
particularly replacing the water, testing the quality
of the water prior and after your stay (ph, TAC, TH).
We do balance the water to correct the levels as
appropriate. Brome is used to disinfect the water.
Basic rules need to be followed to help us in that
‣ A Jacuzzi is not a bath, do not use soap or
shampoo inside the tub! You would end up
having bubbles up to the roof and I’d have
heavy maintenance then after to exhaust any
trace of soap - that could last weeks.
‣ Children should be reminded that the toilets
safe just a few meters away…
‣ it is recommended to take a shower before
using the tub, particularly for people using
creams and make up.
‣ Please do not bring glass /bottles in the Jacuzzi

Put all of your hand towels in the large bag in the entrance

Dispose all of your trash in the bins located in the garage, and always in closed bags (we manage the transport of your rubbish to communal containers and they will refuse bins without bags).
- Black bin: general waste / organics in closed bags
- Yellow bin: recyclable (paper / packaging) in closed bags
- In the trailer: glass in baskets / cabbats available

Switch off your fireplace before leaving (you can use a bucket of water, with moderation, so that water does not drip on the floor)

The barbecue must imperatively be turned off and returned to the garage, cleaned the grill!

Close all doors and windows and leave 1 set of keys in the entrance, the second in the mailbox.

We had a fantastic 2 week stay at the house in Unverre! Arnaud and his wife were excellent hosts and very friendly. They contacted us several times before our stay to give us information about the house and surrounding area which was reassuring and very useful. The house is huge and beautiful and both clean and very well maintained. The grounds the house is set in are extensive and our son had a brilliant time running around, there was so much space! There was everything you could need in the house there for you and is perfect for a large family, and they'd even left a few extras to suit our needs such as a high chair and a play kitchen. The jacuzzi is a luxurious bonus and very well looked after. There is a leisure park 6 minute drive away in Brou which we went to most days. It has a swimming pool, water slide, lake and beach, splash park, swings, trampolines, etc. We had a brilliant time and hope to be back one day!! Thank you!!

We stayed at Arnaud's house for a family reunion with grandparents and (small) children. Our weekend has been fantastic: the house was exactly as shown in the pictures (even bigger and more beautiful), we enjoyed the fire place, the big dining table in the enormous living room, all bedrooms (there were so Many), the huge garden and last but certainly not least, the jacuzzi. We really felt at home and we certainly Will come back!

Arnaud User ProfileArnaud is a superhost.

We are a family of 5. Our kids (18, 15 and 10) love traveling...They've been used to it by now, having travelled throughout the USA in our RV every summer for 7 years in a row, a countless times in the UK where I worked for more than 13 years, and many other countries around Europe...

We are music lovers, my wife is a member of Voices International, a renown local spiritual/gospel choir, my son likes Krav-maga, our younger daughter attends to a Theater class. I play Piano Jazz, composing /arrangements.
We enjoy simple things, simple food, movie theatres, biking, museums, reading, classical and Jazz music, and most definitely travelling.
