TERMS AND CONDITIONS

RESPONSIBILITY FOR CHILDREN / MINORS
Adults traveling with children and minors are solely responsible for them and their actions. There is no lifeguard on duty at the pool or hot tub.

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY
Exceeding the Maximum Occupancy for the condo at any time, with either overnight guests or day guests, is not permitted. If you exceed the maximum capacity you will be required to find alternate accommodations for the extra guests.

CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT
The rental period begins at 3:00 PM on the day of arrival and terminates at 11:00 AM on the day of departure. The property is professionally cleaned and inspected before and after each rental to ensure that all guests have a comfortable stay.

Please note that additional expenses may be incurred for failure to follow checkout procedure, or if excessive cleaning is required to return the unit to rent-able condition.

Do NOT anticipate an early check-in or late checkout. We will accommodate these requests when possible but often cannot make this determination until time of visit as all properties are subject to additional booking at all times. Late checkouts that are not pre-approved may be subject to additional charges.

KEYS
For your safety and security, all units have been equipped with keyless entries. The code is changed prior to each guest check-in. It is advisable to keep your doors locked, including the lanai door.
Upon check-in at the front desk, you will be provided with a pool key and a laundry facility key. Upon departure, these keys must also be returned to the front desk. Failure to return the keys may result in a fine.

PARKING
All vehicles must be registered when checking in to the Kauhale Makai at the front desk. At this time, guests will receive a parking permit to park in the unit's designated stall. Please provide to the front desk your ID, car license, and make and model.

Sunny Maui Condos assumes no responsibility for any loss or damage to your vehicle or its contents. Parking is at your own risk.

LOSSES AND DAMAGES
We have learned that our vacationers do not travel hundreds of miles to damage a condo rental unit. At the same time, experience also tells us accidents can and do happen. If such loss or damage does occur, Sunny Maui Condos will charge an appropriate amount to the credit card on file. It will assist in expediting this process if you report any known losses or damages prior to your checking out.

VACATION RENTAL DAMAGE PROTECTION
As a part of your stay, you may purchase a Vacation Rental Damage Protection plan designed to cover unintentional damages to the rental unit interior that occur during your stay provided they are disclosed to management prior to check-out. If purchased, the policy will pay a maximum benefit of $1500. Any damages that exceed the $1500 Policy Limit or are not covered under the plan will be charged to the credit card on file. If, during your stay at one of our rental properties, an insured person causes any damage to real or personal property of the unit as a result of inadvertent acts or omissions, the Insurer will reimburse the Insured for the cost of repair or replacement of such property up to a maximum benefit of $1500. Certain terms and conditions apply.
Full details of the Vacation Rental Damage coverage are contained in the Description of Coverage or Insurance Policy (website hidden) .
The Vacation Rental Damage plan can be purchased up to, and including at, check-in. By submitting payment for this plan, you authorize and request CSA Travel Protection and Insurance Services to pay directly Sunny Maui Condos any amount payable under the terms and conditions of the Vacation Rental Damage. Please contact Sunny Maui Condos directly if you do not wish to participate in this assignment.

AMENITIES AND FURNISHINGS
All properties are individually owned and decorated to owners' personal liking. Our published photography should be an accurate or similar representation of the furnishings present. For your convenience, all properties are equipped with a starter package of standard toiletries and consumables. Do not expect these items to last the duration of your stay. Quantities stocked are intended to provide you the convenience of at least one day until arrangements can be made to go shopping. Please be aware there is no daily maid service provided during your stay. Interim cleaning can be arranged for you, at additional cost.

PET POLICY:
Pets are not allowed in any of the units.

NOISE:
We love our guests and want nothing more than for them to have a good time, but loud and unruly guests will not be tolerated. Please observe quiet hours from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. All registered guests and visitors are required to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with local, state, and federal governmental laws. Complaints from neighbors of unruliness or excessive noise are grounds for eviction without refund.

THINGS BEYOND OUR CONTROL
Our staff works very hard to make sure your stay is happy and comfortable. However, there are some things that are out of our control. We accept no responsibility or liability for any loss or damage or alteration to the terms of your reservation caused by events beyond our control. Examples of these types of things that are out of our control include: breakdown of air conditioners, TV's, DVD's, and other electronics and appliances, satellite/cable television, Internet (including loss of signal), construction nearby, beaches being unusable due to acts of nature, a condo not decorated to your tastes, disturbances by neighbors, insects or pests, war, terrorist activity, civil commotion, flight delays or cancellations, airport or road closures, adverse weather conditions, fire, flood, or industrial dispute.

We cannot accept any liability for failure of public supplies such as water, electricity, air conditioning or failure of the swimming pool equipment. Nor for the consequences of the actions or omissions of persons who may control or supply main services, or any actions taken in the vicinity of the property reserved, by any authority over which there is no control.

This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. Should you experience any problems whatsoever with the property during your stay, please contact Sunny Maui Condos, and we will do our best to assist and rectify the matter as soon as it is practically possible. In the event that we can offer a reactive solution to unexpected and unforeseeable inconveniences by way of repair we will always exercise the utmost diligence to do so. Should a problem remain unresolved, you are asked to notify us in writing within 7 days of your departure. No action can be taken for any complaints received after this period.

ACCESS
Sunny Maui Condos and/or authorized employee or repairman may enter the premises during normal business hours to repair, or inspect property. Efforts will be made to contact guest prior to such entry, if possible.

DISPUTES / LIABILITY
Agent and or Owner shall not be liable for damages resulting from injury to any person or any person's property in connection with this Rental Agreement or while on the premises. GUESTS agree to indemnify and hold harmless Agent and/or Owner from any liability, loss or obligation resulting from any such injuries or damages.

BEACH TOYS / LIABILITY
Agent and or Owner shall not be liable for damages resulting from injury to any person in connection with this Rental Agreement while using the beach equipment. GUESTS agree to indemnify and hold harmless Agent and/or Owner from any liability, loss or obligation resulting from any such injuries. Tenants are aware that beach activities can be hazardous and are voluntarily using the beach toys and equipment with knowledge of the danger involved.

SUBLET
The unit CANNOT be sublet, shared or assigned. Only the persons shown on the booking form are permitted to stay in the property. If deemed necessary, we will remove unauthorized guests from the property, without reimbursement, and we will not be liable for the cost of alternative accommodations.

AGREED:
Providing full payment to confirm the reservation constitutes that GUESTS have carefully read this agreement, fully understand its content and warrants that GUESTS accept the terms and conditions outlined herein, and that they will ensure that all of the members of the party will adhere to the House Rules** for Kauhale Makai.

My boyfriend and me enjoyed Viktoria's place so much! The condo was simply amazing, with an awesome sea-view, very clean and well equipped (with all kind of kitchen-stuff you might need, beach-chairs and towels, hairdryer etc.) We even received some coffee and cookies upon our arrival as a small welcome gift and the communication with the host was in general very good and easy. It was easy to reach nice beaches, general stores and restaurants by car. In total we were more than satisfied with our stay and would recommend Viktoria as a host and her lovely condo any time. We hope we might be able to stay here again some day in the future.

Great view. Clean condo. Viktoria was very accommodating with our requests! Views of WestvMaui and sunsets are quite stunning. Check in/out was a breeze. The only detracting factor was the house under construction across from the parking lot the balcony sits over. Though the usually didn't start until 9 or so.
