Come and enjoy a home-cooked breakfast, with fresh eggs from our chickens and ducks, baked goodies, or home made jams and jellies. Jan enjoys photographing our sunsets almost weekly, so expect some peaceful scenery.
We are "country" enough for dark skies filled with stars, and "city" enough for various festivals and museums in Oklahoma's original Territorial Capital.
Help yourself to hot or cold beverages available in the kitchen. Feel free to wander through the orchard, relax on the front porch, or sit in the backyard and watch the chickens and ducks wander around.
Interaction with guests
Jan and I will be available here the entire time of your stay. We'd love to chat. If you prefer privacy and solitude, we will honor that.
Other things to note
Hot breakfast will be served at 9am. If you wish to arrange for a different time, please let us know when you arrive. While we will try to make adjustments for special needs, we cannot satisfy every allergy or dietary requirement. Please discuss special needs before making the reservation.
If possible before you arrive, please let us know whether you would prefer a traditional-style homecooked breakfast (eggs, meat, pancakes/waffles/biscuits), a breakfast casserole or skillet scramble, or a continental breakfast. We love to cook, and knowing your choice will help.
Lone individuals or married couples only. This is a smoke-free, pet-free house and property. Please honor that for the entire duration of your stay. While we might offer a glass of wine during your visit, we would appreciate sobriety. We will stay up and chat if you wish, but please do not plan any late night activities. When visiting in town, please return to the house before midnight.
My wife, Jan, and I enjoy visitors in our home. We read, play a little music, watch movies, and we are active in our church, which is just a mile away. We'll share an evening of board games, cards, dominoes, or dice. We could even teach you how to play the real MaJiang and brew some authentic Chinese tea, or you can enjoy an evening of peace and quiet, and we will respect that, too.
