The host was very welcoming at the start - unfortunately though things became difficult when we were informed that each of us (4 guests) would have to pay £55. This was not the case as advertised on their profile through Airbnb - when we added 4 guests or when we added 1 guest the price still did not change. This is evidently a mix up between the host and Airbnb and quite frankly was not our fault. We were then asked to negotiate whereby we were offered two rooms for $60 for each room - that would have worked out to be more than we were originally paying! We were quite happy to all squeeze into 1 room with the guarantee that we were charged the original price (£55 or $60), which was, eventually, arranged. Following on for this we were then disallowed the free breakfast which was advertised on the basis that that was only for people paying £55/$60 per person!!! That was not our fault again as we were rigorous in our search for a place to stay and chose this host because of the advert that it cost £55/$60 a night and breakfast! We did argue that breakfast was included and managed to get our dinner we had there free instead, which I will add took 2 and a half hours to prepare, was cold and the chips were raw - needless to say we went somewhere else for breakfast!
We were very saddened how things turned out as it was a real shame because Padandaro is a beautiful place and the rooms were stunning - it has such potential!
I would also like to add that none of us were local to Bulawayo and we arrived at about 6.00pm after drivi since 8:30am that day. By the time everything was sorted out and dinner was served, we were in bed by 12 that night - with another 5 hours of driving to do the next day!!
