Our Chalet de Neige has three floors. The main floor situated higher than the pine trees has a fully equipped kitchen, a breakfast nook that seats six people, a living room and a dining room. It has an open concept with three- story windows reaching up into a vaulted ceiling of pine planks and looking out across the valley to a vista of mountain peaks. In addition, the main floor has two bedrooms. One is with a king size bed and other one is with two twin beds. The second floor has a loft (equipped with a futon bed) and a master bedroom suite with a king size bed. The ground floor has a recreation/pool room and two bedrooms. One of these bedrooms has two sets of bunk beds and the other has a queen size bed. Each floor has a bathroom which gives guests the most convenience. Plenty of parking space is available in addition to an attached garage that fits any SUV or Family Van.
Our kitchen equips with a microwave, a 10 cup coffee makers, toaster, an electric kettle, a small rice cooker, a slow cooker, a blender and lots of pots and pans.
Since we have a hot tub, we put out many towels for guests to use.
An added convenience for guests who stay more than a couple of days is a washer and dryer.
Acres of pine forest behind our chalet are available for guests to hike or snow shoe...
Interaction with guests
I appreciate when guests communicate with me about their stay. Sometimes, they cannot find a thong in the kitchen or they do not know how the stereo system works, I really want to help them. This is our house and we know all the details about it. Throughout the years, we have done some renovations and it made us more familiar with the structure of the house. When guests have trouble with something, I am the first one who can really help them solve the problems. Please, Please communicate with me. Even I am in South America, or anywhere in the world, I can offer my help to my guests. Communication is the best way to help me be a good host.
Other things to note
We don't provide food or spices to our guests due to many reasons. We only share our chalet with our guests. By sharing, it means we are not giving a hotel room to our guests. Instead, it is a personal contact/touch and an enjoyment of a homey atmosphere for our guests. The view from our chalet is what we see and treasure the most. The furniture we built, the decor and ambience show who we are and how this is different from a hotel. We appreciate it when our guests use our chalet as their friend's or relative's house that they stay in for a few days. The expectation differs, it should be an uncommercial and unique experience in our house. As the reviews show, that is what we are doing and have been doing very successfully. We hope you have this feeling with your stay with us.
Since this is a place we call home, we have gradually built our own furniture and remodeled the place to give us comfort and a home feel, we would appreciate guests to respect that. The house is well equipped and it functions as good as normal american home. We appreciate guests to take good care of the house as it is they are in their own home, such as rinsing the dirty dishes before putting into the dish washer, taking their shoes off in the house, etc. It is not complicated in terms of our rules, just be considerate for future guests. There is ABSOLUTELY no smoking in the house. Outside our house has a lot of pine trees and it is absolutely no camp fire or any kind of fire activities. If found, guests will be evicted and no refund will be given. The trees can easily burn down with low humidity in the mountains so as our house and our neighbors' houses. Guests are responsible for their cigarette butts if they choose to smoke outside. Guests should never leave any butts on any grounds or decks outside. Fire is a serious public safety issue in a forest. We enjoy it and we want to protect it for future generations. Guests will be liable for any fire damage caused due to their irresponsible behavior. Law enforcement can be involved if there is a fire with possible serious penalty such as jail time or hefty fines. Firewood in the house is provided for the fireplace and not for outside campfire.
Guests do not wash towels or bed sheets in our chalet. Washing machine and dryer are for guests own clothing only.
We hope guests appreciate we are sharing our chalet and the surrounding environment that is very precious to us.
Imagine you own a dream home in a beautiful place, you will want to share with guests who are appreciative and respectful.

I am a world traveler. My travels define me.
I love mountains, oceans and beautiful scenery in general. The places that gave me the most wonderful memories are: the Grand Canyon, Aiguille du Midi, Matterhorn, Pyrenees, Arches National Park, Lake Louise in Canada, Lanikai Beach in Hawaii, the Great Ocean Road in Australia, Fjords in Norway, Machu Picchu in Peru, Fitzroy and Torres Del Paine in Patagonia, and the Dolomites in Italy. The last trip I went to Iceland and saw the Northern Lights. Of course Iceland has it own unique geology and remoteness. The places that I am planning to visit are: Greenland, Base Camp of Mt. Everest and Okavango Delta.
I remember when I traveled to see Mt Blanc. We stayed in a Chalet kind of hotel in Chamonix. We had a great view of Mt Blanc right outside the window of our suite. It was quite an experience. I will never forget how beautiful it was. I hope my guests will have the same experience in Chalet de Neige. They will have an unforgetable memory of the mountain range in Breckenridge years after.
Finally, my experience in traveling makes me understand the fundamental needs of my guests. Some places I stayed are better than others. My trip to the Dolomites, we stayed in a Rifugio that is on the top of a mountain. We had to park our car at the base and took a tram up. The room we stayed was booked 9 months in advance (it's not a five star hotel) and it fits only a bunkbed and a dresser. It is the tiniest room I have ever stayed, but the view from the Rifugio is top notch and I never stayed in any places prettier than this. I was at the top of the world the whole time. The owner is the second best of our stay. He made sure we had the best meals and the best treatment from his staffs. I was totally contented. This is the feeling I want my guests in Chalet de Neige have.
Can you sense who I am now ?
A Super Host who wants you to have a good time.
