I lived in Elin’s house for 10 consecutive weeks, and I guess this fact alone shows how good this Airbnb is! The room is very big and very private. The living rooms has a beautiful view to the street but once you close the blinds it’s totally hidden from the street too.
The room is very big and private. The living room has a nice view of the street but once you close the blinds, it’s totally hidden from the street too. The TV has cable, which is a bonus. There is a sufficient place for clothes and personal items, even for a prolonged stay. The heating is on whenever the weather requires it. There are always hot water to take a shower. As a tenant, I had full access to the laundry room. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped. I was welcome to use any appliance and tools (I did a lot of cooking) and had plenty of room for my food in the fridge and cupboard. In addition, my hosts were happy to help and whenever I had a question or a request (an extra blanket for example), they answered within minutes.
The house is always kept clean and tidy, which was very important to me and made me feel at home. Moreover, I was never given the feeling of a stranger in the house and was always welcome in the communal area (mainly the kitchen, as I had my own living room). It is very pleasant to talk with Elin and her partner. I would advise you to go ahead and do so as you’ll get plenty of information and recommendations regarding places to travel and eat, either in the local neighbourhood or in the rest of London. Both have lived there long enough to know about the places other tourists don’t know about.
For me it was a perfect location as it was really close to where I worked. However, if you have to travel to the center of London, please bear at mind that the commute time is about 30 minutes (very easy to go there – plenty of transport options). I have to say that living in this area gave me the opportunity to see a real parts of London and live like a local, not just as a tourist.
