Easy walk to 2 stations, the colour and motion of Harlem was great safe but old school NYC.

Response from Diva:
If by "0ld school" you mean no skyscrapers and much quieter and friendlier streets, it's the new Harlem Renaissance with coffee houses and restaurants instead of boarded up buildings like 15 years ago!

Diva is very gracious host. The apartment was equipped with everything we could have wished for. We felt right at home. Divas guide was very informative as well.

We had an awesome time at Diva's (URL HIDDEN) really felt like a home away from home...Diva made us feel at home as soon as we meet her..she gave us a tour of her place and all the local amenities. Her place is well located to both the subway and the bus..we used it everyday a few hiccups but friendly locals were always willing to help...many great suggestions for local restaurants of which we tried a few..Diva's place was well appointed and very comfortable. She made it even more special with provisions for breakfast and the coffee was great...I would recommend and hope to return one day...good comms and quick replys...thanks so much from Christina and Bianca...

Diva's place was great. It was clean, comfortable and even better than the description. Diva was very accommodating with our check-in and check-out times which was a great help. She was waiting to greet us even though we arrived early. The apartment is clean and quiet - no night noise so you get a really good nights sleep, and has everything you want. It is a short, easy walk to 2 subway stations which take you down the west side and a slightly longer walk will get you to the subway for the east side so it's really convenient to get anywhere. We were getting home quite late and felt totally safe walking back from the subway. Diva had stocked up on breakfast goodies and some really nice goats cheese for us which was really welcome when you have just arrived on a long international flight. Oh - and there is the added benefit of getting to meet Basil and Roger - Diva's lovely dogs. I would definitely recommend staying here. Thank you Diva!

Everything was great at Diva's place since our arrival at the apartment. We really enjoyed the goodies for breakfast :) The apartment is very cosy, with a real double bed, a well equipped kitchen and a very clean bathroom. It is very close to the subway station in a safe and pitoresque neighborhood. Diva was great and gave us a lot of advices. We fully recommend staying at Diva's place.

Diva was there to welcome us upon arrival and explain the apartment and the neighborhood. We immediately felt comfortable in our temporary home. As others have mentioned it is extremely thoughtful of Diva to set up visitors with coffee, juice, bread, cheese, etc. What a nice gesture . We used all of the features of the apartment, particularly the kitchen, since we were there to share meals and visit with our son and his partner.

Thanks Shirley! No problem to add a baking sheet. We do provide an extra set of keys when requested, so sorry you didn't ask!

Hi,
I'm a working classical musician who lives with my husband and our 2 dogs & cats in the rest of the house above the garden apartment. I have a out of college. We have a smattering of Spanish, French, and Italian between us.
We love good coffee, good wine and cheese, and value sustainable agriculture by belonging to a food co-op. Can't live without music, books, art, National Public Radio, The "New Yorker", the New York Times, and of course our friends! We love the diversity of the city and our neighbors. Live and Let Live and the Golden Rule are good mottos. We try to see the humor and/or grace and opportunity in every situation One Day At A Time.
