You've just found the perfect base for a relaxing stay at Mangawhai!
At the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, our place is spacious, sunny, and just a short stroll to the estuary. You'll also find a surf beach, coastal walk and great cafes a short drive away.
Curl up on our comfy sofas as you watch your favourite show on the TV, watch the kids play on the lawn, cook up a storm or enjoy a BBQ/drink on the covered deck - all with views of the ocean and sand dunes.
Come prepared to make memories!
The space
With polished concrete floors, gorgeous furnishings, comfy beds and a well-stocked kitchen, our place is as stylish as it is comfortable.
Throw open the large sliding doors to make the most of your coastal setting and the beautiful birdsong, including native tūī.
What's more, we've kitted it out with a wide range of books, puzzles, board games and TV subscriptions and unlimited WiFi.
Bringing the kids? We've got a portacot, high chair and plenty of kids toys for you - along with a lawn for them to run around on.
We love spending time at our bach and know you will too!
PS: Though our property is set up for children, we take great pride in our home and furnishings. Please consider if that's the right environment for your family :)
Guest access
We have a second bathroom off the master bedroom that's generally locked off, however, we can sometimes open it on request (additional $40 for cleaning). Please note, you will access this via our wardrobe/storage cupboard, so it looks a little different to our normal guest areas.
We keep a small amount of our own food in the kitchen - this is clearly marked ‘private’. The rest is for you to use.
We supply salt, pepper, oil, tea, instant coffee, sugar, some long-life milk and other assorted foods. We suggest bringing your own coffee pods for the Nespresso machine too.
Linen and bath towels are supplied; please do not help yourself to more.
If you're able to bring your own beach towels, that's our preference, though we're able to supply some if required.
We ask that guests use the heat pump instead of the fireplace.
The 'work from home' area is on our large dining room table in the lounge. There's plenty of room there and nearby power points.
Other things to note
Our lovely neighbours are fairly close. We ask that all guests are respectful of them.
A late checkout can often be arranged - just let us know if you'd like that. Thanks!
