This space is great for a couple, perhaps with a small child, or an individual looking to explore or study in the midcoast area. Centrally located in Rockport village, close to local attractions, hiking, the harbor, restaurants, Maine Media, and the School for Furniture Craftsmanship.

The space

This large ground floor room is bright, spacious and easily accessible.
The room is wood paneled with two large doors that open out to the back yard. Guests can use this entrance or the stairs off the kitchen which lead to the basement.

The room has a new queen mattress, large desk, sitting area, small fridge, bureau and hangers for clothes. The bathroom and kitchen are located at the top of the stairs on the first floor.

I have a wonderful sunny back porch and yard and you may borrow a bicycle or two to discover the coast or ride into Camden.

Guest access

Guests are welcome to use the common areas, kitchen, living room and deck.

Interaction with guests

You are welcome to eat breakfast here and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea otherwise the kitchen is reserved as personal space; I am happy to give recommendations of great places to eat in the area.

I am happy to discuss more use of the kitchen for those interested in longer stays.

My husband, I and our 10-year-old daughter loved this place. Lisa was a wonderful host and made our stay very pleasant. We stayed in a basement room but it was not an issue because we mostly spent our time upstairs in the kitchen and dining. I loved her stylish and cozy house, especially the living room with so much natural light through many windows. Oh, I also loved her very friendly dog!

The room is comfortable but remember it's in the basement so you might be worried with moisture smell. Lisa was very concerned about that and she offered a smaller room upstairs, but finally there was no problem. Sammie is a very friendly dog !

We loved Lisa's place! It was perfect for our one night stay in the Rockport/Camden area, it was close to all of the downtown Camden shopping, and Lisa was a great host! Her house is beautiful and she was so approachable and was willing to share any part of the house with us! She seemed so great, but unfortunately we were wiped out from a hike through Acadia that all we wanted to do was sleep! She seemed like such a fun person to chat with :). We stepped outside of the downstairs space to a sky filled with stars which was an added treat! Would recommend this space to anyone staying in the area! Her pup and the one that she was watching were the absolute sweetest!!!

The location of the house is wonderful and Lisa is very kind. Unfortunately, we were made aware that the agreed-upon room was no longer available just shortly before arrival (we agreed on an arrival time between 2-3pm and were made aware at 2:20pm). Lisa did arrange another (much smaller) room in her house for us to stay in; however, it was not the spacious daylight basement agreed upon. This last minute change of plans was inconvenient but I will say that Lisa was very apologetic and did take our dog outside to play for a bit while we were at a wedding, which was appreciated.

Delightful space! Proximity to town and harbor fantastic! Great for walking! Lisa is very welcoming~

I am an architectural & interior designer; an artist, a gardner and an avid tennis player. I love the outdoors and living in the great state of Maine! I have 2 grown children and 1 grandson. Midcoast Maine is such a vibrant community of artists, musicians and writers.
I love to share this amazing place!

I started Airbnbing in 2014 when my daughter left for a semester to live in Vietnam and I have loved meeting people from all over the world. It's fantastic to hear about the places that I someday hope to travel to!
