Completely detached, fully-private studio apartment close to downtown, freeway, many key businesses in walking distance, bus stop, cool host provides many conveniences. Safe, quiet neighborhood, parking, kitchen. Noise ok, come and go freely from your private driveway, private gate and private entrance. Ideal for pets of any size, large fenced-in shady, grassy picnic area, safe, serene, secure, private "dogpark" backyard. No security deposit required. :)
The space is a full studio detached from the main house, it is very private and quiet, 400 square feet, bathroom has a shower. Kitchen has everything you need, no oven but has a range (cooking meat is not allowed) and microwave oven and refrigerator, I can pre-stock the fridge before you arrive, on your wallet of course. Bed is a queen, bedding is comfy and new, also several airbed options. Cozy, warm and cool, clean, there is a fenced-in yard complete with disc golf basket and discs to throw, ideal for pets. Plenty of parking space, host can provide tips and information about the area. You can come and go privately without ever worrying about making too much noise. You can stay up and play all night long and nobody will know it but you. I do have the fixins for a 3rd and/or 4th persons using an air mattress(es) if needed.
Guests have access to back fenced-in yard, patio and deck area. Within a 1 minute walk you can reach Publix. Within 2 minutes you can reach Chase Bank, Burger King, McDonald's, ABC Liquor, Bank of America and Walgreen's. Within just 1 more minute you can reach yet another Publix, CVS, Dry Cleaners, Laundromat, 4 liquor stores, pizza, Chinese, hair and nails, UPS store, Office Depot, gas, several other restaurants and yes- this is all within 3 minutes walking! :) Other within walking distance are Trader Joe's and Fresh Market, and Mizarro's Italian Market (THE best market I've ever seen) is about a 5 minutes drive. Oh, and the bus stop is directly in front of the house and Uber is alive and well in this neighborhood.
Interaction with guests
I like to give guests their space and privacy so I do that as much as possible. I'm happy to help you out in any way I can. I'm a hospitality lifer, I'm a bartender, sight-seeing pilot, dj, driver and swim instructor. I can tell you where to go and where not to go. Also, sometimes I like to combine efforts and cook with the guests or have a drink on the common patio between the buildings. I've had some great conversations with some guests and have formed new friendships now with some, other guests I never even met face-to-face, a few guests I'll never allow back.
Other things to note
Host is cool about stuff. A colorful array of drinks/snacks and incidental-type products (remedies) are on hand such as over-the-counter medicines, etc, etc. Host is a bartender and can tend to your errands before your arrive, host is a pilot and flies sight-seeing tours over the beaches of St. Pete and Pinellas County, host is also a DJ with a nice music studio and loves to show it off and let others play in the studio. There are no pets living in my house but dogs are welcome as guests, a large fenced-in yard surrounds your quarters. :) Please make sure you pets are clean, if the room smells like pets when you leave, there will be charge for cleaning assessed. There are squirrels and lizards around the yard. Host provides coffee, bottled water and basic toiletries. All of the other wonderful drinks and snacks pretty much cost about a buck or two to replace, so please pay for items used with cash on the desk as you leave.
No smoking inside, there is plenty of space outside. You are responsible for your cigarette butts and pet piles (ashtray and pet kit are on patio.) Be mindful with toilet paper use, PLEASE don't try to flush q-tips, diapers or giant pillows down the toilet. The unit is nicely-stocked, use what you need while you stay, please don't stock your car when you leave (you'd be surprised.) There are over 100 different snacks and beverages to choose from, most items cost me a buck or two to replace, if you use a lot of stuff please leave some $$ for items used so that the fridge and cupboards stay colorful for future guests. :) One More Thing: PLEASE don't take drinks to the bed! If you MUST have your pet on the bed, please remove my nice bedspread and use the doggy blanket in the bottom of the closet, it's clean. I have no standard cleaning fee, but I will assess one after your stay if I feel it's appropriate.
