Nice clean place to stay, Kathleen was great! She's caring, sweet and attentive. She gave me a bottle of wine when I arrived, let me check out late and followed up on everything. Would def stay here again!

I stayed here for a month while working at a local hospital and my stay couldn't have been more comfortable. The apartment is clean with updated appliances. There are so many great places to eat in the surrounding neighborhood. The apartment made a perfect home away from home. Kathleen was easy to contact and quick to respond. She is an excellent host. If I ever need to come back to the area, I will definitely stay here again.

This apartment is fantastic! Very cute and nicely decorated. We never had to want for anything there and if you forgot anything Kathleen pretty much had it there waiting for you. The wine and snacks were a great touch as well as having coffee there ready for you to brew in the morning. The sleeper sofa was very comfortable (which is rare) and having wi-fi/cable was great too! It's a very short walk to the blue line which took us into downtown virtually pain free. Downtown Oak Park had plenty of shops & restaurants for us to peruse as well. I would DEFINITELY stay here again!

The decor, cleanliness, hosts communication was excellent! This was our first experience using Airbnb and we may never do a hotel again. It felt like we were staying at a friends home. It is near the freeway but Kathleen provides the best earplugs. I didn't use but my hubby did and he was just fine. The bed was so comfy too! Great experience we will be back! Xoxo Whitney and family

This is a very comfy, clean and attractive apartment. Very homey with comfortable bedding and linens. We loved being able to have breakfast there in the mornings and then hopping onto public transportation into the city for tons of fun. Kathleen is an excellent host -very communicative and willing to be of any assistance. Yes, there is the noise of the expressway outside the bedroom window, but sound sleepers and those used to urban environments will not be bothered. The location, pleasant interior and gracious host make this a wonderful place to stay!

The place was super cute, and comfortable. Up a bunch of stairs and it's kind of far for walking to the subway especially after a long day of sight seeing. But the host was super nice! Everything was very clean.

Response from Kathleen:
Hi Crystal, I was a little surprised reading your review, as the subway is so convenient to the apartment. I understand that you and Tyler chose to make plans following a red eye flight on upon your arrival, and perhaps your exhaustion made the walk from the subway seem longer. 0.5 miles distance is not considered long, at least from my perspective, and I've never received any complaints from any other guests. I was also disappointed you forgot to mention in your review that I met with you both 6 hours before check-in, to collect your huge 50lb bags to stow for safe-keeping. I understand that the three floor walk up (that is clearly listed in the apartment description), with such sizable pieces, may have been inconvenient for Tyler to carry up the stairs, as I know they were heavy for me to move to the apartment you were staying in. As you may recall, I agreed to do that so you both could carry on with your day to go explore Chicago and enjoy your country festival. You also forgot to mention that I took time to drive you both to my favorite diner, as you had expressed how hungry you were, and so I wanted to make an effort to help you with that. Lastly, most guests would have let me know about breaking something, however, you chose to wait until after you checked-out. I would suggest to you, for any future Airbnb stays, you mention ant damage to your host before leaving. I'm happy to hear you had a fun time during your short, two night stay, but disheartened of hearing negative feedback as I always do my best to make my guests comfortable. I'm sorry your walk to the subway was too long for you but some things I just can't control. All the best, Kathleen

I love spending time with my loving family and friends, enjoy photography, practicing yoga, breathing in the fresh crisp air of the mountains and soaking up the sun by any beach! My job has me traveling around the globe while exploring new destinations, that's one of the main reasons I enjoy giving back to the Airbnb community by opening up my comforting space to fellow adventurers!
