Ervin and the wife were a very lovely couple! Ervin was kind enough to let me use the parking in the villa, which while it was a tight fit, but he was there to help you the whole way. The beds were super comfortable, the apartment was cozy and modern, and had a well equipped kitchen. We only spent the night there, but this was one of the rare places where I felt like extending my stay – and then regretting that I didn't after we left.
Location-wise, it's central, but Tirana is slightly spread out, so expect to be walking a bit more than usual. There's a supermarket nearby that you can pick up most anything.
Tirana while being small, offers great value as compared to its neighbours (Montenegro, Bosnia & Croatia). We've had great meals and experienced such fantastic service at the few places that we ate at, I have nothing but a good words to say about the hospitality industry as a whole. The museum was very interesting too.
However, the experience of driving there from and back to Montenegro, is another story altogether. The drivers are strangely aggressive and selfish, with no regards to common courtesy. Completely the opposite of what I encountered on the streets.
10/10 I would highly recommend a stay here, and Tirana is the best!
