Renovated, gorgeous, riverside loft-style flat on 3rd floor in an Art-deco building in Kazimierz. All original features restored, with large, well equipped, luxury kitchen and fantastically cool bathroom. Located on a quiet one-way street, just 5 mins walk from Wawel, Kazimierz, tennis courts, the river, the beach, the conference centre, Skałka (Church on the Rock), Mangha Japanese Culture Centre and various riverside bars and cruise boats. English owner speaks fluent Polish and rusty French.

The space

The lounge has a large island for at least 6 people, DVD/Blu Ray, LCD TV (with satellite and USB) and 2 sofas. The kitchen has a dishwasher, fridge, oven, hob and all kitchen utensils. The bedrooms each have a walk-in wardrobe with modern shelving, drawers, hangers etc. The flat has high-speed wifi. Original pre-war oak flooring throughout.

Interaction with guests

I will usually be available to assist guests during the week, Saturday morning and Sunday evening. If you want to organise any special trips, please let me know. I also have a house in the Beskida mountains where you can stay if you enjoy hiking.

Other things to note

The flat is quiet on 3rd floor on a quiet one-way street. The river is just 30 seconds away, around the corner, where you can have a wonderful walk past major tourist attractions, catch a riverboat taxi, chill out at the nearby beach and beachbar, take a swim in a pool on a moored boat or go to the amazingly cool former Communist hotel Forum for a coffee or cocktail.

Douglas' flat is centrally located and we could walk and take trams to many (URL HIDDEN) industrial in design snd feel - neighborhood and indecir . Plenty of space and a large kitchen with stools for seating. krakow is a beautiful city / strong with a heart and soul and beauty that's evident everywhere you good . The Polish people are extremely friendly - if you look the least bit lost they come up and help you. One thing to know about the 3rd floor flat entrance is the three flights of stairs are double. first they go up to a landing and then continue up ahead with another flight of stairs that is what three means. So travel light!!!

Loved staying here. Great comfortable apartment with loads of storage and hanging space. We spent more time locally in Kazimierz than in central Krakow - most of the top rated Polish restaurants are within 10 minutes walking distance and loads of great small bars to explore. We didn't have any problems with the apartment and Graeme was a great communicator both before and during the trip. Krakow is a great long weekend destination. Enjoy!

Graeme's flat is perfect - stylish, clean, big enough for a family or a group of friends to stay comfortably. The location is great, close both to the Castle and the hip area of Kazimierz. Communication was quick and clear, and Graeme was also flexible enough to extend our check-out time. All in all, a great flat - would definitely recommend!

Spacious and comfortable accommodation, light and airy. The flat is in the Jewish quarter which is vibrant with lots of excellent restaurants and bars. Douglas is a good host, very friendly and helpful and on hand if you need him. The three flights of stairs to the flat are a good way to work off the delicious local food!

We've had a wonderful time at Graeme's place. Highly recommend it, as it is very central and neat. Looking forward going back to Krakow, and to this apartment :-)

Douglas Graeme User ProfileDouglas Graeme is a superhost.

I am an English solicitor and fluent Polish speaker living in the Stradom area of Kraków, between the old town and Kazimierz. I love Kraków pre-war architecture and the small bars and cafes of Kazimierz. I like back-packing in Turkey and Morocco with my young kids and hosting people from different cultures and backgrounds in my flat in Kazimierz, giving them hints on exploring Kraków and Poland off the beaten track.
