This apartment is filled with light from 3 exposures: South, West and up! With 2 skylights this apartment takes full advantage of its 3rd floor location. Three large western windows look out over a quiet green garden with an apple tree and chickens.

The space

This is a brand new renovation of a very sweet, little one-bedroom apartment (500 sq ft) in the building where my wife and I live. I did the renovation myself and the apartment is beautiful. Some of the current photos show the apartment unfurnished, though we now have it very nicely furnished with a queen sized bed, table and chairs, sofa and kitchen amenities (more furnishing to come soon!) It is a third floor walk up. The apartment is in the rear of the building overlooking gardens and our apple tree. In addition to being quiet it gets lots of western and southern light.

We are just off of Washington Ave on Grand ave, at the center of the hustle and bustle of booming Prospect Heights. There is a vibrant nightlife with many bars and restaurants within a stone's throw of the apartment. We are a 5 minute walk to the Botanic Gardens, the Brooklyn Museum and Prospect Park. We are situated equally close (5-10 minute walk) to the 2,3,4,5 trains on Eastern Parkway, the B,Q on Flatbush or the A, C on Fulton giving us easy access to Manhattan (a 20 minute train ride.)

Interaction with guests

Living below the apartment makes the pick up and drop off very easy. In the rare cases that tenants needed anything specific we are readily available.

My wife, daughter and I live in the building directly below this apartment. While this makes it convenient for any questions or needs that might arise (and simplifies coming and going) it also means we greatly appreciate conscientious and reasonably quiet guests! No late parties please.

I stayed at Zach's by myself for two weeks over Christmas and New Year. A great apartment. It has a comfortable bed, and is nice, light and airy just like in the photos. There are a lot of great eateries nearby, and I particularly liked Sit & Wonder for coffee and cinnamon rolls. Zach was a great host. He helped me down the stairs with my bags as I was leaving. I arrived when he was away but he had made sure someone was there to welcome me to make sure I knew where everything was. The kitchen has the basics, but enough to cook basic meals. My suggestion would be to get a television. It's nice to chill out at the end of a day of sightseeing to watch the news etc. I would definitely recommend Zach's apartment and would stay again.

Lovely bright and quiet apartment with essentials like coffee available. Friendly dog and cat downstairs. :) Zach was friendly too but I only met him briefly. Close to good cafes, and shops. Brooklyn museum and botanical gardens are worth a visit.

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful stay at Zach's quiet, calm, clean space. It's was a perfect spot for us. Because of the excellent train access we were able to take lots of trips into Manhattan without it feeling like it was an onerous process. We were equally able to explore Brooklyn equally easily. One of the best things about the apartment is the neighborhood. Prospect Heights has so much going on in terms of food, drinks, delivery, etc. We loved coming back after a day visiting friends or seeing sights and seeing what the neighborhood had to offer. Don't forget to download Seamless Web/Caviar/Door Dash for the nights you don't feel like going out. Delivery of breakfast, lunch, and dinner on rainy days was an unexpected perk! We loved the apartment and will definitely book here again.
