Rowena accepted our last minute booking which we were grateful for. Only given her a few hours notice and she manage to make the place very comfortable. Overall very nice stay. The photos don't do the place justice. It was much bigger then the photos. Lots of privacy. Very comfy bed. Nice to have our own lounge room with tv. Bathroom was very spacious. Would recommend to have car if you chose to stay here, but didn't enquire about public transport. The surroundings was beautiful. It was a good stop over for the long weekend. Close drive to the city and you have Hahndorf, my lofty, waterfall gully, my barker and etc just a short drive away. Highly recommend Rowena' s place. Her dog was so friendly.

Rowena gave really good directions and made us very welcome. She is a warm and friendly person, very helpful. The accommodation was in an excellent location. Being on Mt Barker Rd we thought it might have traffic noise but it was very quiet. The very large, comfortable and well furnished bedroom overlooked the garden. The bed was large, extremely comfortable and warm. We had a separate lounge area with a heater and a fireplace. It was comfortable as well. The bathroom was modern and large. We were visiting relatives so ate out. However, guests can use the well appointed kitchen just down the hall if they wish to cook. We would recommend this accommodation. We had everything we needed and enjoyed our stay.

Rowena greeted me warmly with a cup of tea, showed me around her lovely old home and had allocated kitchen and 'frig shelves to be mine. My three immaculately clean, private rooms more than lived up to expectations, The bed was very comfy, the linen first class and I enjoyed the fire in the study. is a beautiful town with a good variety of shops and the best gluten free cafe I have yet visited (more than once!). The bus stopped outside but I used my car and had my own parking spot.
