House Rules

A stay in San Fruttuoso requires a certain planning and the awareness that arrival and departure by boat cannot always be assured, in relation to the marine weather conditions. According to statistics, the probability of rough sea, with suspension of boat service, during the year is 15-20%.

Therefore, not only when you reach the hamlet, but also when you decide to stay at the lodge, you have to consider the event of walking back, even under the rain (on average, in the Park of Portofino it rains 70 to 80 days a year, with a total rainfall of 1000 mm).

Our stay in San Fruttuoso was amazing. The room was exceptionally clean and the host was very helpful with our arrival. We could hear the sea all night long from our room, which was just a few steps away from the beach. The only problem we experienced was that there wasn't a stove to cook dinner and we only brought a pasta (because we walked from Portofino) but luckily one of the restaurants decided to stay open for us. The breakfast could definitely be better but the view was amazing so we couldn't complain. I definitely recommend staying here if you want to relax and have an entire village to yourself after the sun sets. Thanks for hosting us !

San Fruttuos is a magical place. The evenings are blissful, with wild goats roaming the inaccessible areas of rock and vegetation and one evening a couple of wild boars decided to hang out on the beach as we sat having dinner in the restaurant nestled up in the rocks looking down at the sea. The day is busy full of life and laughter with visitors. The last ferry leaves around 5-6pm and from then on in the entire space is just yourself and a hand full of other people. Night swimming, 2 restaurants operate in the evening during the summer months. There is no shop. So come prepared. Have an adventure. It is an amazing place. The rooms are clean and modern. The living space is in harmony with the nature around it. From where the ferry will drop you off it is a few flights of stone steps to get to La felce di Creta. Try not to use wheeled cases. But once you are in, the sea is only 50M from your front door. Amazing! You can walk to Portofino over a 450M high climb. It took us around 2 leisurely hours walking with gecko's and butterflies all around. I thought on our late afternoon arrival that we could walk to Portofino as it was turning dusk. I am glad my wife chose not to. It's quite rough terrain leaving the San Fruttuoso end for about 1 hour and no lighting. But in the day you get to see magnificent views. Enjoy your stay San Fruttuoso and treat this special place with respect.

A small, cosy room in the most beautiful location - paradise! Bringing a large suitcase is not recommended! - the journey to the room is a walk up and down lots of stairs along the coastline... totally worth it in the end though. Would stay again :)

We had a fantastic 2 nights stay in this beautiful, secluded spot. On arrival the owners met us from the boat and carried our bags up and down steps to our room. The help with our bags was much appreciated after lugging them around hilly Italian villages the week before? The room was perfect with all modern amenities and the location stunning. One step outside and you are by the sea. During the day it's busy but once the last tourist boat leaves you almost have the village to yourself. The 10th century abbey is particularly beautiful once lit up at night. There are a few restaurants but we got things during the day for dinner and made salads using the provided kitchen. You can eat in the b&bs private outside area which overlooks the sea. Fantastic!

Ente Parco Portofino User ProfileEnte Parco Portofino is a superhost.

estendere, con l’apertura di una locanda le possibilità ricettive del Borgo;
