The double bedroom is on the top floor of a traditional Tuscan house (detached) with super views of the valley below. The property has a large garden and is situated at the top of a medieval village with the stunning surroundings of the Alpi Apuane National park.

The space

The quiet and the natural surroundings of the Alpi Apuane give you a wonderful sense of space and freedom. (There is a swimming pool in the garden which is also available to guests.) At the same time Florence, Siena, Pisa and the Versilian coast with wonderful beaches are all very accessible (Viareggio is a 40 minutes drive from the house). For Winter sports Abetone, the ski resort, is just an hour away.

Guest access

Guests have access to the main bedroom, the inside and outside bathrooms, sitting room, kitchen, terrace and garden.

Interaction with guests

My interaction with guests depends on them and how much guidance they require. I often accompany them but also allow them to explore by themselves where possible.

Other things to note

From the house there are not only fabulous walks through the mountains but also great local restaurants which are very reasonably priced. If you like your taste buds excited, there are food and drink tastings all over the region in the mountains and on the coast. It's well worth taking at least a few days to explore some of the local delicacies.

We had a great time with Jason in Convalle! Jason was extremely friendly, he helped us with our luggage, shared a good bottle of wine with us, gave us a hiking map and many tips for our visit to the wonderful Apuan Alps. He also made us a nice breakfast and stayed in touch while we were hiking to see we are fine. The place was beautiful - the whole village looks like it came out of a fairytale, and the house is very impressive. This was definitely our best Airbnb experience so far! We recommend it to anyone who is going to Tuscany and would absolutely come again next time.

We had a wonderful stay with Jason in Convalle. His house is a beautiful house in a picturesque village. We almost felt like we were going back in time walking up the cobblestones among ancient stone clad buildings to his house. The house is extremely clean, has a great kitchen and has one of the most comfortable beds we have used in our 2 month tour of Europe. The view from the room down the forested misty valley was very blissful! We were able to use the internet dongle for our laptop when we needed it to check our next accommodation. We parked our car in the central square for free. Jason was a very gracious host and plied us with great coffee and conversations! He is very knowledgeable about the area, and gave us great advice about walks to do in the area and places nearby to visit (great hikes and beautiful towns). We stayed two nights and it was not enough to enjoy the scenery and relaxing ambiance of the area. Would definitely recommend staying with Jason! We will be back!

This place is ideal for nature lovers. It's located in quiet village, surrounded by mountains and woods. A perfect start point to explore the area of Lucca and Bagni di Lucca, as located between those cities, also perfect for those who are interested in hiking in the mountains. Jason was a great host. He offered us local wine in the evening and a tasty breakfast in the morning next day.

Jason was a great host! It was a pity we only spend a day in Pescaglia, because it was a marvellous place to discover and to relax. Jason was helpful every time and we have a great conversation! Hope someday we will be back!

Big and nice house in the countryside. The enviroment and the views from the house are amazing. The perfect place for the nature lovers. Jason has been very kind, friendly and close. If we come back to Italy we'll repeat here and spend more days enjoying the mountains.

Outdoor activities, languages, history and the natural world interest me. I believe health is a cornerstone of well being and offer my services as a guide both in the mountains and on the coast.

I enjoy meeting people who might be able to teach me something eg. how to cook a traditional meal or some other aspect of their culture and the company of people who are relaxed and who can give and take easily.
