About this listing
The room is a minute from subway so you can reach Manhattan in about 20-25 minutes! Easy trip to Times Square, Central Park, Penn Station, SoHo, etc. Prospect Park boathouse & carousel are walking distance.
Barclays Center, Park Slope, etc. are close. You can reach JFK by subway or cab.
Coffee shops, bars & delis nearby. *Room is along a main street so noise reaches the room & light sleepers prob. won't enjoy the space (real city living!).*
The room is in a nice apartment, in a vibrant historic and Caribbean neighborhood in the heart of Brooklyn. Manhattan and other parts of New York are within reach via the subway, which is next door.
A queen-size air mattress is available for visitors with three guests (and for two-person bookings with notice).
Kitchen, living room/common spaces and bathroom are accessible during stay. The bathroom is shared by everyone in the unit. TV in living room.
Interaction with guests
I'll probably be around in the apartment during your stay. We'll hopefully say good morning and such as you prepare for a fun day in the city. I try to be available for questions, etc., but also give guests their privacy.
Other things to note
This is New York, so there will likely be street and other noises at different times of the day. Given that the room is along a busy street, light sleepers will likely be affected and may not enjoy. Most guests understand and accept as part of the experience visiting this beautiful city.

A ramblin' man who landed in Brooklyn (for now). Love learning new things and talking with people from all areas and hearing their experiences and their views (esp. international perspectives). Also enjoy sharing/creating experiences as a traveler and host.
I drink my coffee from a French press but also love $1.00 coffees from food carts (one of my favorite New York experiences).
