Tiger Hall is on top of a hill! We have great view and easy access to beautiful walks on the Long Mynd, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. You can also walk down to the pubs in the town, or the wine bar, antiques centre and indpendent shops.
This is a special place, quiet and dark at night - a good night's sleep guaranteed. The flat is rather quirky with lovely outlooks. Super comfy, line dried, smooth cotton bed linen.
Your own self contained flat with bedroom -king bed, ensuite bathroom - kitchenette, and sitting room with dining table, fireplace, sofa bed and single bed on the top floor of Tiger Hall. Step out of the gate and you're in the stunning Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Basic cooking equipment provided - just ask if you need anything else.
See the Milky Way from the Long Mynd, a rare Dark Sky gazing site a short drive or lovely walk from the house.
The private flat is in the attic. It is newly refurbished and has its own lockable front door. Access is up 2 flights of stairs via our front door, where you can leave muddy boots and walking gear. There is a small basic kitchen supplied with tea and coffee making facilities, a toaster, a cooker a microwave and basic crockery and utensils. Breakfast, packed lunch and dinner also available by arrangement. It is very dark and quiet here at night so come and enjoy some peace!
Tiger Hall is in a beautiful spot with lovely views and is a short ( but steep hill!) walk down to the charming town of Church Stretton, which has everything you need - bank, supermarket, gift shops, post office, delicatessen, tea shops, pubs, a wine bar, a park and a train station. From here you have rail access to Ludlow and Shrewsbury, both lovely towns worth visiting, quicker than driving and no problems to park!
There is ample parking at Tiger Hall.
We look forward to welcoming you and answering any questions. We can suggest walks, restaurants etc. and lend you local maps. We offer you total privacy in your mini apartment and once you're settled in we'd appreciate having our own privacy, as we are quite busy. Of course if there any problems one of us will be happy to help, and indeed want to know if there's anything we should sort for you.
People come here to enjoy our wonderful countryside and lovely market towns. Walking is the most popular activity but there is also gliding , horse riding, tennis and fine dining too. If you need help organising these things let us know. The Long Mynd is one of few sites designated as a Dark Sky area where you can see the Milky Way at night.You can also learn to keep bees!

Church Stretton has a its own rail station and is on the line between Manchester and Cardiff /South Wales and also Chester/ North Wales. If you want to arrive by train we are happy to meet you at the station, by prior arrangement. It's not far, but a steep hill to carry bags up!
The bathroom has a bath, loo and washbasin. If people sleep in the sitting room they will need to walk through the bedroom to use the bathroom. A shower is available for your use in the house bathroom on the floor below. Wifi but no TV (yet)or freezer.
You are welcome to bring well behaved children, but the bed arrangements are not ideal as they will have to use the sitting room bed. There is just about room in the bedroom for a travel cot if you bring one. Bear in mind also the 2 flights of stairs. If weather is wet you can leave things in the utility room to dry out.
We have bees in the garden. They generally mind their own business and obviously we live with them all the time, but just so you know in the unlikely event you get stung, in case you are allergic.
The flat is up 2 flights of stairs from our front door. The shower is on the first floor. Guests are welcome to use this, but please respect the privacy of other rooms on this floor. The flat has its own key.
You are welcome to use the garden.

Other things to note
We also run weekend beekeeping courses from Tiger Hall. There are several beehives in the garden. We might ask you to move your car if we are running a course during your stay.
No pets or smoking please. Smoking in the garden provided you don't leave the butts around. Wet coats, muddy boots and outdoor shoes please leave at the front door. They can also be dried in the utility room. Please preserve the peace and quiet.
Cancel up to 7 days before your trip and get a 50% refund. Cancel within 7 days of your trip and the reservation is non-refundable.
