A single bedroom with king size bed or 2 singles. Next to the gin tank

The space

The hatchery was a prawn breeding facility on a lagoon overlooking a deserted beach and nature reserve. It makes for a unique destination for any visitor to the North Coast. The facility has been "lightly" renovated - the end result is a unique blend of comfort and rustic cool. The hatchery is all about chilling out, letting loose, and reconnecting.

Interaction with guests

The friendly butlers are on site to help with local knowledge and assist wherever possible.

Other things to note

We are self catering; bringing your own supplies in is recommended. Low slung cars can scrape on the road in so leave the beemer at home for this one or take your time on the way in.

The Hachery is situated in a very quiet and remote area near the river. While we only stayed for the nite, we were not able to take advantage of the place. Since the Hachery is in a remote place, my advice is to pick up food and drinks prior to your arrival as there are no stores nearby. In addition, if you are new to the area, try getting there during the day rather than at nite. The staff was very friendly and would love to come back someday.
