Nice and cozy house built in 1903, in the centre of Nijmegen. Directly next to our house is a supermarket (Albert Heijn) and a good coffee café (Puux). There is a very nice garden which is quite small but very colourful and cozy. Parking is free.
Our old house (1903) has a living area of approximately 150 m2.
There is a cozy living room that extends into the open kitchen. In the back of the kitchen is a laundry room with washing machine and dryer. Here is also the toilet. Two doors lead from the kitchen to the garden. The kitchen has a dishwasher.
Upstairs on the first floor is the master bedroom. There is a double bed with very good mattresses (M-line from 2011). The bed is electrically adjustable.
Also on the first floor: a bathroom with bath, separate shower and an extra toilet.
Next to the bathroom is our youngest son's bedroom (he is 7 years old). In his room we build a loft bed. The size is a single bed (90 x 185 cm).
An open staircase leads to the second floor. Here is the bedroom of our oldest son (10 years old): there is double bed (140 x 200 cm). There is e television where you can watch DVD's.
We also have two single bed size spare mattresses.
On the second floor there is also my working space, I am working from home as a freelance illustrator.
Our beautiful backyard offers privacy and is situated on the south. The garden has been lovingly maintained and is very cozy and green. It is very sunny, with a sycamore tree to create some shadow when it is too hot. There is also a herb garden and some vegetables like tomatoes and zucchini. Feel free to eat whatever you want.
We have one bike which you can borrow. To the left of our house there is a bike shop where you can rent a cargo bike.
The guests will have access to the whole house.
Interaction with guests
We will meet at the key exchange moment. After that we will leave our house, so the guests will have privacy and feel like they live in our house.
Other things to note
On my Pinterest page you can find the best places to go in town: (URL HIDDEN)
The street where we are living (Groenestraat) is quite busy. In the bedrooms on the frontside of the house you can hear the cars and shopping people come by.
Smoking is not allowed in our house.
And we hope the guests will feel at home in our house, and they will treat it as if it's their own home.
